Quarry Hill Nature Center is a large park that provides visitors with an array of outdoor activities such as hiking on lush trails, exploring the man-made cave, and observing live animals in the nature center. The center offers informative classes for children and adults alike. Furthermore, the grounds are well-maintained with beautiful scenery suitable for hiking enthusiasts, even though some trails may be muddy at times. The staff is knowledgeable and focused on teaching visitors about nature without any distractions.

This is a wonderful place especially if you have children! So many things to do inside the little center. Lots of hands on for the children. I have no children but I certainly enjoyed it as well! The grounds are beautiful even though it's early Spring and nothing is green yet. But it's lovely hiking you just have to watch out because some of the trails are kind of mushy yet. It would be a fun activity for a family or people who just like to hike and see nature

Just a jewel for the community. It makes me want to live in Rochester. I also have bad knees and there are paved trails, as well as walking past lined with mulch.

Cheryl C — Google review

We adore Quarry Hill! Whether you are adults going for a hike, or kids looking to visit the nature center; whether you come with a school group and a structured program, or a toddler and preschooler looking for things to do on a gray or cold day: This place has something for you!In the nature center, there are snakes that are native to Minnesota, fish, turtles, insects, frogs, and information and displays about birds - as well as a climbing structure/"treehouse", in a book room for even the youngest children. There are even fun donation bins available for help feeding the nature center animals and maintaining trails and outdoor buildings.Outside, there are miles and miles of paths, whether paved, wood chips, or naturally worn in the grass and dirt. There is a beautiful pond in the middle with a very small island you can walk out onto, and even the pond as wildlife such as ducks and geese who stay over or stop by, and even beavers. We were really lucky and saw the beavers diving down to the bottom of the mostly frozen pond, and bringing pond weeds back up to eat on the surface of the ice. The pond never freezes over completely because there is a pump. You cannot walk on the ice! But that's just fine because even a winter pond is home to many animals, and they deserve to have the pond to themselves, in that way.In the winter, there are groomed trails for cross country skiing, as well as skis available. This year was not good for that because we've had so little snow. But most Winters, outdoors at Quarry Hill is a cross country skiing Destination, in cooperation with local school cross country/Nordic teams.

This place holds a special place in my heart, as my children spent so much time here when younger. This is one the best oasis’s in Rochester, especially for guests visiting the area looking for fresh air & a nice hike. There is a cemetery, cave, old quarry ( the best), tadpoles in the pond, butterflies & bees habitats. You can watch bird tagging, attend a class, have a birthday party, go to summer camp, climb the rock wall, cross county ski, look for fossils, bird watch, snow shoe, hike, or just have a picnic. The options are endless- and they only ask for a donation. Please consider donating if you enjoyed your visit to keep it open & free to all. The giant fish inside, turtles, owls, and snakes add to the excitement too. The library is a perfect spot to wind down Before heading home for a nap. Photo of our hike- we saw an eagle & found morels in the spring.

This place is huge and a lot of fun! They have great trails in the nature for hiking and/or biking. There’s a cave, river, and you can see different biospheres depending on where you are in the park. A lot of people were here with their family and it looked like there was a school field trip happening here as we visited.

Sarah M — Google review

There are many great trails for running and hiking. This is a very dog friendly place. However, it can be very busy and the loops are not very large.I haven’t tried it yet, but I think you can rent skis or snow shoes in the winter.

Keenan P — Google review

We were visiting Mayo. Due to lack of time were looking for things to do in the vicinity. The nature center was a fun activity. Lots of hands on for the kids too. But as grown ups we loved it. Took a small walk around the area, too. Will visit the next time hopefully in the summer.

Nina K — Google review

The staff especially Jenny was great. Kept all students attention and did not stray from teaching or other possible distractions. I was impressed how nice the buildings, and grounds were very clean and kept up

Joe A — Google review

I've always enjoyed long walks with my walking and talking buddy and friends. Growing up on the farm, it's like having a little nature and country in the city, I've taken many photo opportunities of the birds, insects, and plants. The history is interesting. Be sure to enjoy the animals, insects, fish, reptiles & amphibians INSIDE, too. Great learning opportunities for young children.

Julie A — Google review

Quarry Hill is absolutely stunning and beautiful! I come from Florida so the experience was definitely refreshing. Plenty of shade and always something beautiful to look at.

bus — Google review

This place is really cool! But the staff running the programs are extremely ableist. My son who is in a wheelchair couldn't be included in the school field trip today because the staff was determined to go on the unpaved trails instead of the paved trails. So while the rest of his class went on the unpaved trails, my son was left out. Why should kids with disabilities be segregated like that? Why should they have to conform to what all the typical kids can do? By 2023 I expect more of this place. If your disabled kid is going on a field trip to Quarry Hill, I guess just keep them at home because the staff there do not foster an inclusive environment. I hope this changes sooner than later.

Adam G — Google review

It's my favorite place to go and escape the city noise. Perfect for wandering and exploration. My kids and I love the nature center as well as the nicely kept trails. Another highlight is the large amount of paved trails, which makes this park extra accessible for all abilities.

Nicole B — Google review

What a fantastic gem! I was very surprised with the amount of animals that were in the nature center. The trails were lovely!! Great way to spend some downtime if you are in the area!We even got to see Bob the snake eat some fish!

Dragonbird S — Google review

Finally made a trip to aee the cave and it was cool. It's actually not a guided tour because the cave is small enough for you to go in on your own but it is helpful to bring your own large flashlight if you want to see a little better. We used our phone flashlight and that was all right too.

Roxy Z — Google review

We love visiting quarry hill! The kids enjoy the animal exhibits & extra events. There were no special events on this day, but we observed the kestrel eating breakfast (a mouse) & went on a nature hike outside.

Portia S — Google review

We love quarry hill nature center. I’ve been coming since elementary school field trips & now I get to bring my kids. Grandma enjoyed it as well. We look forward to many more visits in the future.

Monuments & Statues

Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial is a verdant expanse with a meandering wall, water features and effigies dedicated to American veterans. It honors the brave servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom. The granite wall bears names of local veterans, while flags representing different branches and military artillery statues stand within the park. It offers ample open space, picnic benches, tennis courts, baseball field, running track and bathrooms.

What an awesome experience today. The veterans who brought our students on the tour did a great job. I had yet to check this place out. It was very well done.

John V — Google review

Very nice tribute to America's veterans. There is a sculpture in the middle of the memorial of a mother and child. The woman is holding a telegram informing her that her husband was killed in action, as she looks skyward and her child is clutching her side. Timeless and incredibly sorrowful, as is the the medic/corpsman sculpture directly behind the wall. A very nice memorial.

Larry L — Google review

Brought our kiddos here for a 1st time to try skating. Very impressed at the big loop to skate on. Having the pushers for our kids to help learn with was excellent. Our oldest was a quick learner. Will certainly come back!

Tim D — Google review

Wow. Still letting what I sa sink in. Built by citizens with no tax payers money. Awesome

Jim C — Google review

This is one of the most moving veterans' parks I have visited. The statue of the woman and child with the life changing telegram was very touching. A wonderful tribute to those who have served.

Deb C — Google review

An excellent tribute to Minnesota and our nations veterans. I especially liked the detailed history of our American flags.

Kim H — Google review

This is one of the best Veteran's Memorials in the country and built with private funds! It is a great option if you can't make it to DC to see them there! Each war event is highlighted here along with those who died in combat.

Shannon L — Google review

Memorial Park honoring the brave, the defenders of our freedom and those who gave the greatest sacrifice-their lives. Beautiful granite wall honoring the names of local men and women who served, flags of the different branches, statues depicting their service and actual military artillery. The surrounding park offers plenty of opening space, two play areas, plenty of picnic benches and park shelters, tennis courts, baseball field, dirt running track and public bathrooms. Adjacent pool/water park and golf course are also available. Park and surrounding grounds are clean, but clearly dated and showing need of repair and replacement. Plenty of parking and walking/biking trails.

Philip W — Google review

Really nice park with plenty of parking. The park also abuts the trail system that runs along the river. The veteran exhibit is quite something. Follow the signs carefully to arrive here.

Andy G — Google review

Very well maintained and beautiful space. Seems very popular on a Monday evening in August. Multiple play areas for youngsters, spaces for baseball and soccer. The tributes to veterans are numerous and attractive and contain historical references and lessons.

Another trip to Mayo Clinic in Rochester... But we had our granddaughters with us this time! We had some time kill so I brought them to the incredible Veterans Memorial just down from Mayo Clinic in Soldiers Field area. The girls are only 5 & 8 yrs old and they still enjoyed it. I am retired Air Force and it was an honor to try to explain to them what the gorgeous engraved murals depicted. The life sized statue displays were really impacting and I think they could get the feel for it. Then I showed them all the names of those honorable service members who never came back to their families. Their Father is also in the military. The unbelievable precision in the construction of this Memorial is mind boggling. There is a small space between each piece of of granite. As one of my photos show, looking in that space exactly lines up with the flag pole! There are so many other impressive things to experience but you should come see it for yourself. You will never regret it.God bless those who served and were never able to return home. They are our heros!

Todd M — Google review

We were there for Rochesterfeat. A decent crowd but not much for food lines. There might be a couple more food booths this year.

John D — Google review

The biggest veteran memorial I've seen! Lots of art lines the walls of the memorial, as well as a couple of statues. There's some old canons as well. Beyond that, mostly just fields. They are pretty well-kept though.

Civic center

Auditorium

Mayo Civic Center, located in Rochester, is a prominent event venue in southern Minnesota. It hosts a wide range of events including musical performances, conferences, business meetings, conventions, and sporting events. The center features a grand ballroom on the second floor and an architecturally impressive facade. Visitors can enjoy various shows such as music concerts, stand-up comedy, family-friendly entertainment, and theater performances. The venue offers convenient access and free parking after 5 p.m.

Great venue to see a concert! Comfy seats, small room with great sight lines and sound. We drove down from the Twin Cites to see Get the Led out and had a great time. If you are looking for a more intimate concert experience and have the opportunity, take it. Kicking myself many years later for not seeing Dylan here. That would have been something.

Mary B — Google review

Saw Martina McBride. She was awesome. Venue was terrible. Fake smoke made it hard to see and breathe. Seats are not big enough for the majority of people. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. The room was also too hot. Won't go there again.Shame on you Mayo. City should be drawing big name Artist. But not at that Venue. Put some money in it.

Barbie P — Google review

Great, wanted to wait on this until a few concerts were in (inside) anyways, I've been to outdoor concerts many times which have been good. Inside has been good too. Plenty of food and drink options, I found the staff to be excellent, helpful, actually more like they want you to have a good experience and I totally did. To the point of unlike any review I've done previous, I want to call them out and say thank you, GREAT JOB! KEEP IT UP!!

Rikk W — Google review

We're here for a Joe Bonamassa concert, and it was a great performance!! The Mayo Clinic Civic Center is easy to get to, and parking is free after 5 p.m., on both the parking ramps and on the street. The seating in the upper level is a bit tight between the seating and rows. The stars were a bit steep as well. The bathrooms were clean, and there are plenty of stalls, ladies!!They offered adult beverages and non-alcoholic types, too. The only thing is you need to pour your canned beverages in a plastic glass before entering the arena.Overall, it's a nice place and we'll lit at night. For ticket prices, it would depend on the venue you are going to.

Ja L — Google review

Not a fan. I'm a Rochester resident and the funds used for the remodel were not appropriated correctly. Our family paid a ridiculous amount of money to view our daughter perform a cheer routine. The crowd in attendance could not see the stage from the chairs set out. Consequently, everyone tried to see by standing. Seating and staging should provide optimal viewing. Disappointed 😞

Heidi M — Google review

Always clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. The city of Rochester is a wonderful place to have an event. The skyway keeps you out of the weather. Restaurants are convenient and varied.

Carol Y — Google review

It was a great time, we saw the Sal Volcano stand-up act. It was an easy flow through the security guard check and ticket scanning. Drink and snack line moved along fast. Then plenty of signs and staff to help get us to our seats. The venue layout was great that it seemed like everyone had a great view of the stage! We were very happy with the experience!

Mike C — Google review

Great area, good food close, and connected via a tunnel to many of the main areas from the hotel I stayed in. Girls wrestling was a bit disorganized this the 4 star. They started way later than it said and some of the matches were paired improperly, but I expected this as it was the first year. I hope to see this event grow even more in the future! 🙂😊

Joshua M — Google review

Absolutely gorgeous facility, very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food. Such a fun event

Kellie S — Google review

A cute small civic center with free parking on evenings on weekends even for big named events like MercyMe! Best sections to sit in for that concert was 120, 125, and 130, row L because seats are more comfortable and a tad more leg room. Had a great time!!

Michelle — Google review

Saw Chapel Hart play tonight.. Awesome, fun, energetic show!! Staff was helpful, fun and friendly!

Karen A — Google review

Attended a concert in the Auditorium and was dismayed by old, tiny seats crammed very close together with no consideration for adult bodies with no legroom, no elbow room, and no ability to relax. Also had to navigate a short stairway with no handrail to reach our seats which is terrifying with arthritic joints. The good partEven the longest lines were not that long in terms of waiting timeParking ramp is connected by skyway so decent handicapped access.Other notes:Interesting protocol of turning off the lights five minutes before showtime to get people to take their seats.Acoustics were not wonderful. Hard to hear the singing over the instrumentation.

Lynn F — Google review

Was there as a vendor for a craft show. Unloading was a gridlock, mostly related to lack of consideration by other vendors to move once unloaded/loaded. Outside food and drink was not allowed, food choices for purchase was pathetic, and staffing for the food counters was very poor. Food counters were far and few between.

Michael L — Google review

Very impressed with our visit. We went to a Monster Truck Nitro thing there in the arena, the convention center portion is beautiful and the area is just ok. The rows are very very tight and the upper level is pretty steep for how few seats there are. The concession lines were too long and it is definitely an old arena but it's great for the smaller city of Rochester and the event staff are nice.

B M — Google review

A most excellent 45 minute educational concert for families with children ( and adults who are still learning) 🎵🎶 The venue made it relaxing to bring children in their true form ( training their ear) !

Was in Pepin for a quick lunch and saw the "Birthplace of Laura Ingalls Wilder" and got geeked because I loved Little House on the Prairie. The themed gifts were cool, the staff was super friendly. The museum itself? Probably good if you are into this time period. I thought it'd have more actual Laura Ingalls stuff, not just blurbs about her extended family and examples of tools from the time. All that being said, stop in and see it, and support the museum.

Dina — Google review

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The museum is full of stuff from the history of the town including some pictures of Laura and her family.

Jack P — Google review

Very informative on early American expansion. A lot of interactive / tactile exhibits. This made for a memorable and experiential tour. It also is a very personal interaction with Laura's family history. Upon entry we were greeted warmly by John who did a great job priming us for the tour. It is a small museum. Allow 30m to 1hr for the tour. Also, there is a nice 7mile drive from the museum to a replica of the little house, Laura's birthplace.

Daryl J — Google review

Going into this, please note that this museum centers more on the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder than some of the book sites. One wing is about her family; the other talks alot about the area, which has a great history as well. It is affordable for a family ($14), and we found the staff to be very informed about the history. There is a gift shop with a fair selection of souvenirs. The wayside with the cabin is 7 miles away, and the area is breathtaking. The museum is one of many things you can do here.

Timothy J — Google review

Very interesting and inclusive/interactive museum! Very informative and interesting look into Laura Ingalls Wilder's life and 'Little House' folklore. Many cool artifacts and letters and photos of her entire life. Very friendly staff, nifty gift shop and restrooms on site. A must see historic place for history lovers!

Joel C — Google review

Cute museum that the whole family can enjoy. Daughters favorite parts of the books involved mom smacking the bear butt on accident and she loved they have that as part of the exhibit.

Schae M — Google review

This was a meaningful and sentimental visit for me. The little museum transported me to when I was a girl reading the Little House Series and loving all things Laura. There is a lot of pride in Pepin and the museum is divided into two rooms-one representing the times and one that is Laura specific. There is a lovely gift shop too and large modern washrooms. It was a gift to visit this special place.

Kim D — Google review

Mom and I are visiting from Maryland and had to make this a stop. This is a small museum, packed with lots of information. John welcomed us and gave us clear, easy to follow suggestions for how to best experience the museum. Aside from learning about Laura and her family, the info about making pearl buttons was my favorite.

Krissy H — Google review

Nice little museum all about Laura Ingalls Wilder! The exhibits were neat and I even got to try the piano!

Griffin M — Google review

Loved this place. Visited on a Wednesday afternoon and it was not busy at all. Very interesting to see all the displays and some real items from Laura's days. Had just listened to Little House in Big Woods with my children so it was neat to see the story being shown in the museum. Family price was great! Also went to the log cabin replica about 15 minutes from the museum. Great stop too!

L M — Google review

Very interesting learned a lot of facts I did not know. Some ewally cool things to look at. Most was not actually Laura Ingalls Wilders things but waa thimgs in her tume period. Still very cool to look at. A lot of information about her live and her relatives.Having a Big LAURA INGALLS WILDERS EVENT ON SEPT. 9TH, 10TH AND THE 11Th IN PEPIN WISCONSIN!! Villa Bellezza is an absolutely incredible wedding venue! I LOVE photographing there! The ceremony site is large and makes for epic photos. The vineyard is stunning and conveniently located right next to where couples get ready. The staff is friendly and helpful! If you are looking for an Italy feeling wedding without leaving the Wisconsin/Minnesota area, I couldn't recommend Villa Bellezza more highly!!

It's Christmas Market season Saturdays & Sundays in November and December! There's a nice little selection of vendors in the piazza and Great Hall, plus an extra food station in the Great Hall. Il Forno is also open for sit-down meals, but definitely make a reservation.Absolutely stunning location with delicious food and friendly, knowledgeable service. This is as close to Tuscany as you can get in the Midwest. The food was mouthwatering, authentic Italian served indoors or on the large courtyard patio. The wine tasting room is a very fun experience, 4 wines for $5 - you choose 3, and the sommelier chooses the 4th. Ask about the unique process for making ice wine! While this is high quality wine for the Midwest, it is not on par with Italian wine by any stretch of the imagination. There were some wines we enjoyed and ended up buying by the bottle, but others were just too acidic for our taste. Still, we definitely plan to be back. It's well worth a visit, and would also be a phenomenal location for special events. The property is rapidly expanding with several smaller buildings currently under construction.

M. S — Google review

Staff and wine are great. The food though is terrible. Easily the worst pizza I've ever had. The crust was terrible. The cheese was mediocre and the toppings were sparse. It was also sitting in a puddle of grease. The meat and cheese board was terribly balanced with poor cheese choices though the meat was good. I'll be back for the wine but won't be getting any food.

I love working with Villa Bellezza Winery as a wedding vendor! They have been a dream to collaborate with. From the beginning, their team was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for the couple's special day. The venue is breathtaking, with stunning views and a charming atmosphere that adds a touch of romance. The staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Working with Villa Bellezza Winery has been an absolute pleasure. I cannot recommend them enough to fellow wedding vendors or couples looking for a magical venue for their special day.

Phenomenal spot! First wines I've had from the Midwest area that I found to be highly drinkable. Love La Crescent and Cotes de Pepin(amongst others). The details that went into the piazza were extensive. The tastings are a good time with healthy pours, and the food is great too...we had the cheese plate (highly recommend), 2 pizzas, a panini, and a salad over two separate visits. All tasty! Great spot, makes you feel like you're on a mini vacation!

Villa Bellezza is a perfect example of a beautiful, unique and wonderful spot to check out in Western Wisconsin. I'd heard about it for a while and finally made my way there - and so glad I did. The buildings and grounds are immaculate. They almost transport you from Wisconsin. The wine was perfectly flavorful and delicious. I ordered the garlic chicken pizza; and although I loved it, I have a feeling any food you order from here would be amazing. In the outer court I saw countless tables of couples, family and girls days, even a wedding- and I think this is a perfect spot for all of them.

It's almost like being in Tuscany! Great ambience and good wines. This would be an excellent wedding venue. A must-see winery.

John S — Google review

We ordered the Marquette ‘20 and the St. Pepin ‘21. The Marquette ‘20 was a medium-body dry red wine. It had berry aromas and flavors with roasted hazelnut as well as being lightly oaked. The St. Pepin ‘21 was a medium body dry white wine. It had a bold nose of citrus and peach.

Dario A — Google review

This was the first time at Bellezza Winery and I have to say it is absolutely beautiful! The grounds, buildings, tasting room, outdoor space all are the best I have visited! This is a true hidden gem in Wisconsin and worth the serve to come visit. The wines were very good and I would recommend doing a tasting so you are familiar with the wines as they are hard to decifer by just the names. The food was good, we tried the wood fired pizza and I enjoyed them, but I was expecting a more airy crust that you get from good homemade proofed dough that has structure, the edges where flat and hard, but still flavorful and enjoyed the fennel sausage. The bagit bread was wonderful and moreover what I expected and the cream cheese and honey spread was great. This winery did feel like your in a little Italy and will look forward to another visit.

Kevin D — Google review

I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now. The building is huge! And they have tons of parking and ev chargers even! You order your food at the window (outside because it was nice out) and they give you a number and bring your food to the table when it is ready. There was seating inside and outsideThere are heaters outside as well. The bathroom was really clean. The staff is friendly. There is a wine tasting room that I didn't really explore much in.I was really excited about the pizza but was sadly disappointed. Honestly I was kind of sad because I wanted to like this place a lot.My pizza came out somewhat burnt. But there wasn't much flavor in either of them.Overall the building is really cool and would be a really neat place for an event.

Came here during the winter market, grounds had a few dozen maker shops - jewelry, gifts, food, wine and wine tasting.Personally I was there for the food, chilled white wine and then warm mulled wine. We had pizzas in the restaurant, and took some tiramisu and holiday chocolates to go.Had a great time and everything was delicious, even took home a souvenir glass mug with the mulled wine. Will be back in the summer

Hank Z — Google review

Amazing atmosphere and beautiful buildings. Makes you really feel like you are somewhere else in the world. The food and the restaurant was just okay. For some reason they were "out" of a lot of the items on the menu. Even our initial alternative choices we were told they were out of also... The rigatoni was quite good but the lasagna was actually cool in the center, probably just reheated but not enough. Aside from the food, it was a real cool place to visit for the scenery and wines.

We were a group of 4 who came here for wine tasting and lunch. At 5 usd we got to pick 3 wines and their wine of the day also came included in addition to the 3 wines. We liked the tasting - quick, no frills but good selection. We went ahead and ordered a bottle along with our lunch in the patio. We got a tavalo red bottle, 2 pizza, one pasta and a cheese board. One small gripe was that most of their pasta choices weren’t available and they had no vegetarian pasta option available despite listing on their menu. The have plenty of EV chargers and offer EV charging for free which is incredible. Close to 15 EVs ( maybe more) can charge simultaneously.

Nice apple orchard. They have a couple ciders made there. Flights of cider, wine, and mead available to taste. Baked goods and gift available in gift shop. A popular spot for families as well as bridal parties. Good tasting ciders! Dog friendly patio

Ann C — Google review

We came by on a Sunday in late October, probably the last weekend of good weather for the year. Fall colors were at peak on the drive to the cidery, and the orchard looked beautiful as well. We found the place to be busy but not cram-packed; there was seating indoors and out for people to enjoy their drinks. We had only one person ahead of us in line, so the ordering process went fast. We ordered a cider flight, which included four drinks; at this point in the season, they had five to choose from. We also ordered some cookies and little apple strudels from the bakery case in the adjoining room, which also had different apple bags available for purchase. Several of the apples had a samples available, kept under a dome to keep away the fruit flies that were swirling around. The ciders and pastries were tasty. I browsed the shop afterward. This would be a good place to gift shop. They had jams and jellies, home decorative items that kept to a wine theme, and of course, their ciders and wines.

Beth C — Google review

Interesting ciders and local wines are featured. The ciders we tried were delicious. The owner, Carol was fun to talk to and very knowledgable about development of cidar industry.

So peaceful here & such friendly staff! Delicious ciders!! & pet friendly!

Ashlee J — Google review

I’ve been here many times and it’s one of my favorite day trips from the Cities! They have excellent cider, suburb and helpful staff, and great flights of wine. Highly recommend!

Amanda U — Google review

Very nice. Small place for great ciders and interesting list of atypical wines and mead. Not much seating inside. Still have to wear a mask.

Gregory D — Google review

We came in on a Thursdayin the early afternoon. A flight is 2 ounce pours of 4 wines, 4 meads, or 2 wines and 2 meads. I found 8 things I wanted to sample, so I -had- to get two flights... and some crackers. We sat outside under the porch and sipped wine for an hour before we paid for the flight and our other purchases.A beautiful day out in the sun checking out the fall colors.

Dan H — Google review

I wouldn't have gone if I'd known there was no nonalcoholic cider, but it was a nice tasting. The two ciders I really liked were not available for sale though. Altogether, nice place and tasty hard ciders.

Suanne R — Google review

Nice hard cider. I love that they let you try three before they charge, they are trying to sell to you afterall.

Brett J — Google review

Such a fun place to visit. Delicious ciders and a gorgeous property to walk around the orchards. The owner was behind the bar serving our tasting flights and explaining the production processes. Love supporting a family owned business and their experience is enjoyable for locals and tourists alike.

Barn Bluff, also known as He Mni Can, is a renowned natural landmark located in Red Wing, Minnesota. It offers excellent rock climbing and hiking trails with stunning overlooks that provide breathtaking views of the river valley. The bluff holds great significance due to its association with native and prehistoric peoples, as well as its geological importance.

A great hike! It's unfortunate they put a rope on the the scary hike.

Ian N — Google review

I was so impressed. There's a huge parking lot across from the hiking trails. I went to the top on the west end overlook. And WOW. The trees are changing colors and the rock formations are huge, stunning. I went at 9am on a weekday. Not a soul round. A lovely hike. Once you're at the top you feel peace. There's a but of stairs, nothing crazy. Walking along the cliff side with the rope is kind of scary if you're afraid of heights like me, lol. So worth it though. Red Wing is a pretty little city.

Katie A — Google review

Great place to hike and take drone shots (if it's not too windy). Get a good pair of shoes on and get hiking.

Taylor M — Google review

Beautiful river and valley views with quarry history hike. Nice parking lot and trail head south side by NSP Plant. About one hour walk with lots of stairs.

Scot E — Google review

Absolutely beautiful views!! The trails are very clearly marked and easy to follow, and it's the perfect balance of feeling like you've accomplished something getting to the top without feeling like you're dying. We timed it so we were at the top (east overlook) right at sunset and it was amazing 😊

Tara I — Google review

Beautiful hike and beautiful scenic overlook

Anne T — Google review

Spectacular view, it’s a easy to moderate hike. Lots of steps but definitely worth the climb. It’s about 30minute to reach the top and another 30minute down, this is a leisurely hike. My husband and I took our boys age 6 and 9 and they loved it.

Freda L — Google review

Beautiful hike. be careful, especially if it is wet, and if it says that part of the trail is closed, honor the signs. It has a great view of the river and the town, when you get to the top. Fall is so pretty , but I imagine that any time of the year would be nice to hike this.

D. D — Google review

Like many others have said, this place is amazing. I visited this park on 3/3 right when it started to warm up! Even at the end of winter this is the place to visit. Even if the trails are wet and sloppy, once you reach the top, its evident that God is one of the best artists off all time. This is an easy walk up for anyone to conquer. Paved paths make for any easy navigation to the top. This is a great place to bring the family.See my photos below!

Nate N — Google review

As an experienced hiker it took about 20min to reach the top at a moderate pace. Well kept trails, historic stairs, amazing view of Red Wing!

Specialty Museums

Chain retailer offering a traditional collection of handcrafted leather boots for work & recreation.

Loved seeing the worlds largest boot. It has a cute self guided tour. That was fun. I love to see the history of things and see how items are made. If you do too, check out this store. I did treat myself to fun little item to take home to remember this visit as well.

Kari S — Google review

I recently visited the Red Wing Shoe Store and Museum and it was an incredible experience! The highlight was seeing the world's largest boot, a unique and impressive sight. The museum exhibit on the second floor offered an insightful look into the history and craftsmanship of Red Wing Shoes. I was also thrilled to find the outlet store on the lower level, where items were marked 30-70% off. Although the selection was more skewed towards men's items, which was a bit disappointing as a female shopper, I understand that their products are often marketed more towards men. Overall, it was a delightful and educational visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in unique attractions and great deals on quality footwear.

Sarah M — Google review

We were dropping off some boots that needed to be have new soles put on (my husband loves his work boot). We decided to shop their outlet downstairs, and we both left with a new pair of boots at about 40% off normal retail. The staff was helpful in measuring our feet to ensure we got the right size and width. We also each decided to try a pair of their lifetime warranty socks, but it may take a while for us to know how well they last.

Sharon T — Google review

The museum and shop for Red Wing shoes was a lot of fun. It was very interesting to see the history behind these legendary shoes. We had a great time.

Charlie V — Google review

A really cool story to visit! They have a little shoe museum along with lots of stuff to see. A very unique store and has great historical significance to the area! Parking along the street is also not too terrible to find.

Glen M — Google review

Came in to shop, see the big shoe, and was surprised to see they had a whole series of nice displays set up upstairs. Very cool.

Christine E — Google review

I was here to see the World's Largest Boot which would be a size 638 1/2 D and was created to celebrate the company's 100th birthday. It took the hides of 80 cows and is over 20 feet tall. Forget wearing it - you could put a basketball team inside! As well as the boot, there is a complete show store and the Red Wing Shoes museum that is well worth your time. I found it interesting and yes, the boots that are for sale are rather expensive. Extremely high quality and high quality isn't cheap.

Bruce K — Google review

Do people work here lol? I think I saw one employee. We wanted to buy some boots but ended up leaving. I know everywhere is low on employees but usually there's a sign stating that or something.Love the big boot and the nice little museum upstairs though. I wish the Wall of Honor screen was working. Would have loved to hear the stories of the men up there.

Katie A — Google review

Bought my boots but insoles went very bad on 3 weeks. I had to visit you guys again for scan my feet and get the perfect insoles for me. Thanks for amazing service.

Saul R — Google review

Stopped by today after visiting one of the Red Wing Shoe factories for a tour! Really enjoyed seeing the giant boot and came home with a super cute pair of pink boots from the downstairs outlet. Thank you to my sales associate Herman who was the best and helped me pick the right size and boot care products to make sure I keep them in wonderful shape for the years to come.

Minette S — Google review

Always wanted to go there and travelled all the way from U.K. to visit this store. Huge varieties and the store is very spacious. Other nostalgia like banners and socks and gloves can be found here including apparels. Downstairs in the basem*nt is where you really get good deals, nearly all boots which you find in your local red wing shop you can find here, not all but a lot of them and various sizes. Was dealt by a lovely lady at the counter who was shocked that I came all the way from England. 1st floor/2nd floor(US) is where the museum is which tells you where it all started and who owns the company and what were the shoes originally used for. Overall great visit.

Vikram S — Google review

Red Wing Shoes are living off their name. These boots are 7 months old and already falling apart. This culture of cutting corners and charging consumers premium prices will come back to bite you someday. After 27 years I'm done with Red Wing Shoes.

Casinos & Gambling

Modern rooms in a Caribbean-themed casino resort with a golf course, bowling alley & indoor pool.

Top notch service as always! Very friendly and helpful staff! Our kids had such a great time at the kids quest that even after 2 hours they really didn't want to leave! Was sad to see the beverage stations gone, but relived to find out complimentary pop was still offered at the bar. Also noticed employees walking around taking drink requests. I think these were smart ideas. We had a great time on the machines! Wish we could've stayed longer :) can't wait to return! We did miss the buffet, but I thought I saw it was opening again soon?

Joanna M — Google review

I don't think we will ever go back here. The only thing that is decent is the bowling alley. We went there to the casino on a mini road trip. Decided to try our luck. We get there, no parking, no events going on, valet is full. Etc. After we do finally find a spot after waiting, we find that almost every machine is full to the max. Decided to try and find a drink station. The drink stations are now machines that you have to pay for, they are no longer free and self serve. . We lost money in the machine because it did not dispense our drinks. For the machines for themselves gave nothing. Did not get one bonus screen, cashed out 4 cent winnings. Pretty tight in a area full of people that need to make money. We go to Grand Casino and their Casino is up to par. Bonus screens, you can sit there for hours and still break even at least. It's fun, clean and the service is much better.

Went for a concert. Their event center does not have a bad seat in the house! It's a Great venue :-) we stayed in the Buffalo Tower and it was pretty good. We got food from Currents and Trade winds. Both were good. Our server at currents told us that they were very short staffed. We did have a bit of a wait but she was very pleasant. Overall good experience

Mark who drives the electric car around and picks people up and drives them back to the car was the absolute best driver and guy you could have doing a job like that he was extremely entertaining and had the most welcoming attitude and smile he made our group feel as if we were getting the VIP experience we are not big gamblers but we will definitely be back again and hopefully mark is working he made our trip a blast. Also the guy that works at the bowling alley section was super cool and helpful to us as well we are planning another visit based on the way he treated us while we visited.

Treasure Island (T.I.) is always fun to go to. It is children friendly with its bowling, arcade, and swimming. I give the rooms a 4 only because last time I was there some rooms are updated and others are old. If T.I. has updated all their rooms then I give 5 starts. Depending on who I have interacted with I usually get great service, but there's always a chance I get the person in a mood. The location is a little far from the Twin Cities area and you have to take city roads to get there.I prefer mystic lake because it seems the slots are looser there, but I have won at T.I. just not as much as Mystic Lake. I would recommend going there if you're in the area.

dollface187 — Google review

Check-in staff friendly and accommodating even with a long line. Worked effectively and all appeared friendly. We were in the Wolf Tower and had a great room. Modern, spacious, comfortable bed, lots of pillows, chair, bench, refrigerator, safe, nice bathroom/shower. Used the pool area, adults only area, hot tub, swim up bar and outside area. Friendly and attentive bartenders. Casino is smoke free and has usual variety. Live music was nice. They now have vending machines everywhere so not sure if you can still get free pop, watet, coffee like you used to. The one place they consistently fall short is food options. Very limited options, slow service and just all around disappointing. Otherwise good overall trip

Chris S — Google review

I was really pleased with this property especially after reading all the bad reviews. This casino is worthy of any Vegas hotel! The staff was super friendly, the rooms (we stayed in the new addition) were very nice, everything was very upscale. Tons of slots! Lots to do! Prices are reasonable $5.00 for a Miller Lite. We will definitely be back.

Jeffrey S — Google review

The hotel room was in the Buffalo tower. It is quite dated. There were no outlets near the bedside table to hook up phone charge. The only ones we could find were across the room or on the bathroom! The water after the shower would not completely shut off. We were thankful for the shuttle and the driver was very nice! We ate in one of the restaurants and it was OK. It's on a Saturday night so things were backed up. We had fun playing black jack!

Joanne Z — Google review

Worst casino ever. They have become extra greedy over the past 6 months. Nothing but lying and cheating and stealing our hard earned money. This place takes your money offering very little in return. Not even a little fun while you lose! Every machine every time is nothing more than dead spins and empty bonuses on repeat! Not too long ago, Treasure Island was actually an okay place to gamble, we actually prefered it over other casinos in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but not anymore. We keep coming back hoping this time will be different and better, but unfortunately every visit ends up being worse than the one before! They have replaced fun and fair gaming with stealing and cheating fueled by their overwhelming level of pure greed.Because of this they are quickly losing their once loyal customer base. From 12.15.2023 thru 4.8.2024 we (husband and I) have lost approximately $22,000 (see some of the detailed examples below)They are intentionally stealing from me and the hundreds of others that walk through their doors on a daily basis.Seriously people we all need to STOP GAMBLING AT TREASURE ISLAND!If we don’t come, they have no one to steal from and if they can’t steal from us, they will be the ones losing.Maybe when they are the ones losing they will finally realize that greed is bad for businessBest of luck to you all

Izzy — Google review

My god they had games I've never seen before. The food was especially good and the people there truly want your time to be enjoyable. Kids quest was fun for my kid. She had a wonderful time said the Mac and cheese was delicious. Parking was easy and not complicated. You have to smoke outside but it was well worth the trip. Bingo slots resort kids quest or babysitters table games and a really nice hotel. Thier promotions were way better than other places I been to and guest services was not only helpful but all around good people. Our time was relaxing and fun I will be coming back to treasure island resort and casino!!!

T J — Google review

The hotel was nice, good band was playing and most of the staff was really nice. Was at the arcade and the server went down and they wouldn't refund my money or the other three people I was with so just wasted $40, told me that the money stays on the card for ever but I don’t live close at all and didn’t want to come back in general. The lady at the arcade was kind of rude towards us when I asked if she could help us.

Rose S — Google review

For me, it's a relatively close by casino. But by and large, it contains a plethora of cheaply realized slot machines, that aren't cheap to bet on... While it makes for a way to burn a few hundred dollars and an afternoon, it's more of a beating than enjoyable. Payouts are small and infrequent. Not enough to maintain interest or actually have fun...And, it's quite common to see two identical machines with completely different minimum bets available. One id played was 30 cents. It's 100% identical twin say next to it, but its minimum better was 45 cents. It's clean... And usually quite busy... But the shine the place used to have, seems gone - replaced instead with the unvarnished greed of money making.

Greg G — Google review

Went there for concert. Didn't stay in a room so I couldn't give it a rating. Parking was fine but leaving was horrible. Took almost an hour to leave the area and this was two hours after the concert. The casino is great. Lots of table games and slots. Poker room has 7 tables and played 3-6 kill and 2-100 spread with no cap. I enjoyed the room. Only downside was couple dealers seemed to be beginners and no fountains for drinks for pop/coffee. Had to ask waitress or bar.

Daniel ( — Google review

We used to come here regularly years ago and go to the seafood night at the buffet. Now that it finally reopened after the pandemic, we were really looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately the new reservation/waitlist system is a borderline scam likely designed to get walk ins to gamble for hours on the off chance of getting in. We had this happen to our group and ended up leaving without getting in to the buffet. The best part is the casino wasn’t nearly as busy as it used to be and from talking to the staff it sounds like a good portion of the reservations are no shows and there are tons of empty tables. Definitely won’t be back.

Ryan H — Google review

This is a very nice hotel and casino near Redwing, MN. They have a large gaming area, I honestly find the layout a bit confusing after several visits. They have a wide variety of modern slots, classic penny slots, a large table gaming area, as well as a bingo annex. The casino is non-smoking however there is a nice large smoking area with its own bar, so you could easily be in there the whole time. One of the biggest drawbacks in my opinion is the lack of free refreshments. There are Pepsi machines all over where you can purchase a $3 bottle and there are bars stocked with various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There is a buffet and several eating establishments right off the gaming floor but honestly I don't know anything about any of that. If you're new, as I recently was, it would probably help to have a friend go with who knows the ropes. Their new member promotion included a spin on a wheel if you could accumulate 10 points. I was surprised to find out it cost several dollars for each point. It ends up costing like 11 dollars and then I only won $8 free play on the wheel. Having pointed out the opportunities, I have gone 4 times and won $100, lost $10, and came up even twice. Staff has been friendly except for one unusual experience with a somewhat hostile bartender - apparently standing at the bar and ordering a drink might be a trigger for some, you're supposed to order from the little corral bars thing. Overall a good casino, I will definitely go back.

Michael W — Google review

some of the employees were quite rude, They have a lot of stupid rules. If you get one of their scooters you cannot have any alcohol. they only allow only drink at a time. So you have to completely finish one before they'll give you another. The rooms are very nice and I love the pool area. I don't like that. The pool doesn't open till four in the afternoon and closes at ten. They do have good promotions.

KAREN S — Google review

Nice, smaller casino. Has a lot to offer. Bowling, pool, spa, buffet, golf, and entertainment. When you get the players card, you receive some great promotions. Also, come on your birthday month and receive more promotions like $1 off every year you were born from your hotel room. They have tables, slots, and more. It is a destination to go to, even if you don't even like to gamble. The only thing is that some of the older hotel towers need to be upgraded. They have some great acts that come. The staff is really friendly.

Adam S — Google review

Recently stayed here overnight with some friends. The hotel rooms are fine but a little dated. I do know they've been updating and some of the sections of the hotel have newer rooms that are very nice. They have a massive parking lot but a shuttle found us and drove us and our stuff to the front door which was very nice.I enjoy playing roulette but this was located in the smoking section which is fine but after awhile it was a little much.Overall I had a great time and will return.

Courtney L — Google review

I really like staying here! I've stayed twice now, once for a work party and once for a wedding. Very clean and nice rooms. A little pricier. The casino was very clean and had lots of options. The swim up bar was amazing! Love that! Would stay again for sure!

Elizabeth K — Google review

Fun time. Room was a little disappointing, paid for the upgraded room but still no microwave in room. Door to bathroom was strange but overall fun evening. The bartenders and service professionals were all great, very friendly ans helpful. Will definitely be back!

Wendy P — Google review

We didn't stay overnight this trip but haven't had any negative issues with rooms in the past, so I gave 5* for rooms. Service is still pretty spotty, but the buffet has opened for certain days. It was open for Easter brunch, and it's open for Mother's Day. Hopefully more times soon. Finding a drink person walking the floor is near impossible, and they don't have any self-service stations open yet. Getting a drink at the bar is near impossible also because the line is always long and usually just 2 bartenders are working. They need to have a water/soda only line available. That would be super. Lots of workers are still seen wiping down machines and chairs. I always thank these workers. Smoking by the entrances is just terrible. They are too close to the doors, and you have to walk through a cloud of smoke. Smoke if that's your thing, but for non-smokers, this is just awful. They need to be farther away from the doors if they're smoking.

Patti B — Google review

My review. Hotel room nice. Should have complimentary bottle water in rooms. Buffalo tower. Vending should have free water . I don't drink Aquafina. Free spring water only. co*ke products not Pepsi.Pepsi awful.

Hawaii E — Google review

The rooms were probably the nicest ice ever stayed in that we didn't pay extra for. Large with high ceilings and nice bathroom. The shower was amazing. It was actually large with glass shower doors. No cheap flimsy curtain that always gets in the way. Adjustable shower head and hand held wand that actually works and has great water pressure. My only complaint is the lack of cover space in the bathroom. Bed was nice, albeit a little hard. But that's a personal preference. Good size fridge and a safe round out the amenities. The food was very good, and the service was good for the most part. We ate in the currents restaurant one evening and it was way too loud. No sound deadening items other than the seats you sat in. One almost had to yell in order to talk to the person next to you. Not an exaggeration. The waitress we had that night was horrific. She joked about things she shouldn't have, never checked on us, and forgot things we asked for. I would not eat there again. We did not try any of the other restaurants, hopefully they are better. The casino portion is easy to get lost in. The casino staff was very helpful and polite. The gift shop could use a few more items, especially men's clothing. Parking is plentiful, although an extra shuttle or two wouldn't hurt so one doesn't have to wait so long, or walk a mile. The carts to help get your luggage to your room or back to your car are also few and far between. You need to be quick in order to get one. Overall it was a good experience and I would stay here again. The live entertainment was awesome with the Rockin' Hollywood's, and the MOTM car show was extremely cool with a parking lot full of Mustang's. From the classics, to the newest ones you could buy.

Bar S — Google review

Went for a rock concert. Not at the ampitheater but the event center. Will not be back for a concert. A comedy show or other type of show I would definitely come for, but not a concert.Moderate sized casino. Lots of slots new and old. Someone won $26k on a slot when we were there! I'd come back to play also.

Jessica H — Google review

We were in the Buffalo tower and our room was well used. I did not feel the cost of the room, equalled the value. I heard from other guests, that their room was better. Current Restaurant was awsome and for us the best value.. it seemed that we had to wait on lines for everything. Not too many guest, just not enough staff like most places. But the staff we did interact with was friendly, helpful and awesome.

Jeff O — Google review

We had a great time. Just a quick one night visit to the Casino. Really loved the non-smoking gaming areas. All the employees were very nice and helpful.

Joseph M — Google review

Had a great stay in a room in the newest of their towers. Neat and clean. Busy weekend there and didn't really experience any issues. Only thing that could have been better was the bar service. Little short on staff for the number of people in for the evening.

Martin S — Google review

***NEW YEARS WEEKEND***When reservation was made, a refrigerator was requested and upon check-in and arriving at room, it was awaiting by the door in hallway outside my room.Shuttle was convenient and fast. We were able to ask front belt hop to page shuttle for instant ride to car out in overflow.VIP event for New Year's Eve with the Midtown Men for show with dinner was spectacular. Great 60's theme and music to be enjoyed.

Kristie B — Google review

I'm not a typical patron - we stayed one night, came to see a show in the Parlay Lounge, no gambling. Not sure if there was a big event there that day, but there were tons of people and lines. Had a room in the Wolf Tower. There were no available luggage carts at check in time. The room was clean and we had plenty of space but it was overpriced at nearly 400.00 and no room service or literature in the room for food/things to do. The mattress was a bit crunchy. Went to see a rock show, there is a nice stage setup at Parlay Lounge was great and the sound engineer did a fantastic job w/lights & sound. There is no table service and the bar staff were extremely overworked and lines were long.

Laurel F — Google review

Recently returned from. There. The room in wolf tower was beautiful. The fact that there is no cleaning service for multiple night stY is horrible policy. The casino was okay. Loved the fact there is no smoking. However the machines were so tight. Not sure I will return

Love the beautiful venue! We loved all of our wine choices. Food was phenomenal! We didn’t have a very attentive server but enjoyed our time. We will be back!

Jessica M — Google review

It has a very open atmosphere, very spacious. I am not a huge wine drinker but the three kinds I tried were good. My wife who rarely drinks wine had two glasses of a sweet white that was recommended by the waitress. I had a Betty White sandwich and it was pretty good. We both enjoyed our time there

This place is a must-visit spot for wine lovers, they get all the most important things spot on.:-This winery uses locally grown grapes for the majority of it's wine.-The wines are of excellent quality.-Tastings are done at your table, you choose 3 wines at a time.-The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The decor, atmosphere, cleanliness, and food are icing on the cake.

Awesome wait staff, wine flights, and make sure to try their house made sparkling wine. Cute place with amazing food boards. Fun branding on menu. Merch available on site for a great last minute gift grab.

Our family had a wedding in the upstairs event space. The venue was elegant but fun. The staff was lovely and helpful. The support in event planning was great from the first day. We could not have been happier.

Fun experience! We came as a group for a wine tasting. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!

A good place to go after tubing on the Cannon River at at Welch village on a hot day.If you want more that hamburger at a locale bar. They finally have some food you can enjoy with some of their wines. They also sell bottled beer and pop ect. There is outdoor seating and there was pleasant live music playing when I was there.I sat at a door table and had a Stevie Nick's flat bread .Pictures shot in public.

David D — Google review

Pretty nice small town winery! The staffs are very friendly and helpful. It costs you small amounts and you can taste a couple of their breweries. What we had was very fruitful taste, mild for everyone. They have indoor and outdoor tables for you to enjoy yours leisurely... There is a big parking lot by the winery. Also, the Cannon River trail is right next. Very convenient if you prefer a walk after your wine taste.

Peng H — Google review

Loved the atmosphere, loved the wine and we decided on ordering flights, only issue was we waited well over 30 to 40 minutes for our charcuterie board, and others arriving after us, got served before us. I was hungry and had to hold off on my wine till I got food in my stomach. Our waitress was nice and felt bad we waited so long, but the only thing is she didn't come to our table to even explain why the long wait. When bringing out the board, she apologized and said that we received extra for no cost, more on the board. We ended up buying our favorites for at home.

Trish — Google review

We had not been here for a few years. Its still a nice place to visit. The wines were decent and the servers were pleasant. I liked the Mill Street Red. The pizza we ordered was the only thing we did not particularly enjoy.

John V — Google review

Attended a wedding reception. The venue was wonderful! The staff were quick and friendly. The decorations that were able to be setup were amazing! I would definitely consider having my large events in this space. Additionally the winery was superb and hosted a full host of options from beer to wine to liquor. The style is modern rustic and executes it without flaw. Stop in when you are in town!

Legendary bank known for its 1876 Jesse James shootout features local history exhibits & artifacts.

I was visiting my best friend, her daughter and her two granddaughters for the holidays and we planned a trip to Northfield to see the bank the James-Younger gang tried to rob back in 1876. Cathy, the Director of the society, was a delight - very genuine and had some “I Spy” games for the girls to play while we toured the museum and the actual bank. The museum is small but full of all kinds of information and there’s even a small gift shop where you can indulge your inner outlaw - shirts, books, cards, etc. I highly recommend this museum for any Jesse James aficionados. And it’s in the lovely city of Northfield.

Elaine L — Google review

Pretty small museum but very interesting. Wife and I came here and found it charming. Great gift shop on the site took

Luis H — Google review

This is something if you love history. The last bank the Jesse James gang robbed. The actual vault and floors are intact. The actual bank ledger is there with blood on it, too. They also do a reenact the robbery on the first weekend after Labor Day.

Mysterious T — Google review

Great detalis provided by the written accounts and artifacts really made the chronological walk through an enjoyable experience. Had no idea the townsfolk battled the James - Younger Gang and firced them to leave with almost nothing. Worker there was extremely knowledgeable about the event and the town's history. Must see this place if you're in town!

Steve P — Google review

Another great small town in Minnesota packed with history and cozy charm (sorry, I just wrote that like a travel agent or travel mag-corny but true). I was hoping they had daily reenactments of Jesse James Gang of 8 trying to rob the First Natl Bank in Sept 1870s as I wasn't clear from website but it turns out it is only performed on the Sept anniv. I toured the historical society downtown for $5 which houses the history of James Gang, the actual original bank inside, and also the Campbell's cereal company who made brands such as Malt 'O Meal and still does. There were also breweries nearby which we try in every town & city we visit so a good afternoon!

Rho M — Google review

Great place to stop in...$4 per person/senior admission. Short film about the Younger/James Gang.... really well done ! Loved the layout and the bank set was fantastic to see the layout....If you enjoy the legend of the JamesBrothers, a must see

Eagle — Google review

This is Jesse James hold up the bank in Northfield Minnesota you got to go there and check it out this is pretty cool this is where they tied up at three horses before they rob the bank it cost $5.00 to take the tour

James C — Google review

While I would like to give it a higher rating I just wasn't very enthused by the museum. While I understand that is often upkeep on even small museums can be a lot, I was still somewhat displeased with the content vs the price. If I recall correctly entry was $10 to $20, depending on age. Additionally, it all centers around the story of one bank robbery. Which is cool, sure, but I would also have liked to learn about the history of the town itself. Questions like the town's establishment, the stories of the Scandinavian immigrants, how a small town ended up with two colleges, etc. were sparsely addressed, if at all. Overall, cool story of the bank robbery which was well told but minimal content beyond that.

Great trail with mix of sun and shade. Trail changes from dirt to sand them pea rock with long stretches of grass. It's not TOO hilly but is a very good hike. Flies found us near the end...bring bug spray.

Miles of trails! This is a great place to come to enjoy nature. I used Gaia Maps to help me navigate around the trails because it is a bit of a maze. There are trail signs which is very helpful but Gaia was still helpful. My last hike in mid-August was in the evening/dusk (after sunset) on the trails by the river (upper arboretum). I saw so many deer and saw a beaver on the river. After nightfall, the fireflies came out! That was really fun to see. Not too many birds as it was not the right time of day but I did see a flock of geese on the river. In winter, I come here for the cross-country skiing.

Eli H — Google review

Beautiful place, nice walking paths, seating, and even a BBQ grill. We saw several deer as well. My new favorite place. Will definitely go back!

Angela C — Google review

Not what I would normally call an aboretum, but it's a very nice park!Parking was very annoying to find as google routes you to a weird back building where you cannot park and you have to kinda find a way to the parking lot. Trying to get the location updated

Nicholas W — Google review

It is a very peaceful place to relax and go for a walk.

Nikki D — Google review

One of the highlights of Northfield, and great to visit in any season. The summer of course offers miles of hiking trails through prairies, forests, and rivers with lush green vegetation. The fall has amazing displays of foliage, especially in upper arb. During the winter, many of the trails are groomed into cross country skiing trails, and the rest are open for snowshoeing. And in the spring, it's always nice to see life re-emerge from the cold. There are plenty of places to park, enter, sit, or have a picnic throughout, so there's no need to plan your day meticulously to have a good time

Expansive park featuring a swimming beach, campsites & a variety of wildflowers.

Gorgeous, well-maintained and well-marked trails, and open to both snowshoeing/hiking and cross country skiing for the winter. Trail signage is clear and easy to follow, and the park offers gorgeous views of the river from several locations.

Casi B — Google review

Nicely maintained State Park with riverwalk, forest and meadow trails for both hikers and bikers. The park has a couple of nice lookouts over the river and nice camping and picnic areas. There is also a public beach area that we didn't explore because dogs weren't allowed. We did explore the river and some cool driftwood in another beach area. Somewhat crowded on a Sunday afternoon in July. Not a lot of bugs.

Virginia V — Google review

Phenomenal park! Hikes range from challenging to easy. The beach is not the cleanest water, but I still recommended making the trip!

Esmé W — Google review

Afton state park is a great state park for hiking, birding, and as well as camping. They have more than adequate parking in a couple different areas of the park. They have some really great camp sites throughout the park, including yurts that you can rent and camp in. There is some great views on top of the bluff overlooking the St. Croix River that is not too far from the main parking lot. If you hike down from there, you will eventually hike to the beach area, which is absolutely beautiful and fun to explore. They have picnic shelters and grilling areas right near the parking lot.

B A — Google review

The hiking trails here cater to all skill levels, offering everything from leisurely strolls to challenging hikes. The park's well-maintained trails make exploring the wilderness a joy. One of my favorite spots is the overlook, where I pause to catch my breath and soak in the breathtaking views of the St. Croix River below. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or just looking for a peaceful retreat, I guess this park has it all.

Zain S — Google review

Overall I had a decent visit hiking here. I only had time to hike the trails in the southern part of the park. The trail portions outside the woods were wide enough for side by side conversation and the parts of the trail near or inside the woods were single file. I visited in November, between the Fall color and white snow, when the aesthetics were rather bland.

Josh — Google review

Afton State Park is a great place for a family's day trip. We only had a couple hours, but got to hike a few miles and also saw the St Croix River from the overlook which was a very pleasant thing to do.From the visitor center, the hiking trails toward south mostly don't have tall trees that provide shade. So it could be more challenging when it is hot. The trails toward north, however, have a lot of trees and are mostly covered by the shade of the trees, and therefore are easier for little kids.

Chang-Tsan L — Google review

Nice park, plenty of trails for easy walking and challenge up and down hilly climb. On the negy, not too many bathroom available on the long trail. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables for a rest and a clean beach for swimming. It's also a good place for nature photography.

Practical L — Google review

A very enjoyable hike with multiple loops to choose from or combine. There is a solar operated water pump in the hike-in campground. It is a nice, winding uphill hike. The beach is currently flooded with some debris washed up to shore.Several picnic shelters and bathrooms are present throughout.Pets are allowed but have to be leashed at all times.Definitely will hike it again.

Evie M — Google review

We had a fantastic time staying in the Bluebird cabin. We had a wonderful hike and had the joy of a Bald Eagle flying right over head - a beautiful sight!

Stephanie B — Google review

Love that the south trail is all along the river. The signage isn't great but if you have a GPS map, you will be fine. Weekends are pretty busy. The trails are not challenging wirh the exception of a few steep hills and well maintained.

Christine C — Google review

At sunrise we took the southern river loop by first walking through the prairie to the yurts/cabins before descending and taking the river path back. The river is still high and all the little sandbars and beaches remain underwater. While skirting the prairie we saw many deer including our first fawn of the year. There was an osprey preening on an unused nesting platform and many kingbirds in the trees at the prairie edge. My greyhounds and I had the paths to ourselves until the climb back up to the car park. My favorite walk in the park still is the northern river loop where the bird watching is superlative through the backpacker's campground.

Carrie W — Google review

Kind of hard to gauge a park because people look for so many different things. It's huge and it's a walking park mostly, I believe. Went on Memorial Monday and it was only about 60% full. I assume the appeal of more drive up and park options, which plenty of that stuff here, too. Love the different water levels of the river at different times of year.

Will B — Google review

Afton State Park was beautiful and clean during a July afternoon in 2023. We got together with a few likeminded people and we hiked while picking up trash. It was a fun day out on the trails!

Stephen E — Google review

I absolutely love this place. So many trails and varieties of trails you can explore. You can get right up on the river. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

Steve M — Google review

This is a nice and well kept state park. There isn't too much to do but there's enough to spend a day here. The North River Trail is nice. The beach on the river is also super peaceful. Lots of different landscapes. Not a lot of wildlife spotted when I went. The goats are back and they're employees! I thought that was super cute.

Katie A — Google review

Hiked out to the Trout Brook Loop - they aren’t kidding when they say you’ll get a workout! Trails out there were steep and rocky for half the hike. Appreciated the plentiful signage and labeling of intersecting trails. Views were spectacular, will have to come back to walk the trail along the St. Croix

Emily T — Google review

So many trails to chose from! Lots of variety in terrain and landscape from river to prairie to woods. Very well marked trails and almost every intersection has a map.

M L — Google review

Always a great place to hike, in all seasons. No snowshoeing on this visit, but we brought our new puppy and she loved it. We saw a Pileated Woodpecker, deer, and eagles.

Trevor D — Google review

It's a smaller park with a great view this time of year. I recently purchased the trails stamp book, so this park was close. We chose to go see this park for the first time.

Larry R — Google review

During any season, Afton State Park is the perfect place for a hike. I enjoy both the prairie trails and the steep hill trails leading through the forest and down to the river. Generally, the rolling prairie walks have fewer people. In the winter, the snow makes the browns and reds of the dried prairie grasses seem more vibrant.

Paul M — Google review

The park is pretty nice I thought. My family and I had a great time exploring the park. The main building was clean and pretty well set up. We brought a lunch with us and enjoyed it at the picnic area. While eating a park ranger came up to us and talked to the kids about the state park and some of the areas that they had to offer. They enjoyed talking to him and after he gave them each a Jr. Park ranger badge(sticker). We all had a fun time at the park!

Charming little spot overlooking the Afton Ski lifts. Not a huge menu but good spot to grab a drink and enjoy the view. We were watching a doe run around the open fields with her 2 fawns.

Brian R — Google review

This year has been pretty up and down for Afton, I'd have to say. Lots of hours cut, hardly any lifts are open and about half runs open, nearly February. Sucks because everywhere else opens before noon, and runs later than 8.Still has fun runs and park, despite the cons.

jakeislate — Google review

I’ve been to almost every ski resort in Minnesota. I can see that Afton definitely needs to be improved. The most two annoying things I really wish they could improve:1. The parking lots are super super muddy, my boots got dirty and I couldn’t put them into my ski bag because they would mess it up. AND it is very potholed! Bumpy like a hell, always painful to drive through the parking lots there.2. They have lots of two-person lift chairs and there are not enough space for two adults.Anyway, I had high expectations for them since they were selling the most expensive tickets in MN. But I have to say, disappointed with the equipment there.

Jill L — Google review

Hills are nice. The employees are working their a33 off. But they don’t have enough help. 3/4 of the chairlifts are closed. The lift lines are too long. The rental lines are also too long. Not a great value for the $!

HOME D — Google review

For Midwest skiing it is pretty good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Everyone from the rental shop to the restaurant staff were great. Great way to spend a day.

Scott G — Google review

I'm sure Vail was thrilled with my $70 lift ticket as I sat in the rental line for an hour. Only to find one rental staff. Ouch. Pre playing, entered rental information a head of time. Poor planning in the name of corporate profits. I've been working in the industry for 10 years. Won't come back. Would have been zero stars. Hill looks like sunburst or little Switzerland near Milwaukee. Icy 300' vert. Go to chestnut.

Joe L — Google review

My husband and I decided to get season passes here as opposed to any other hill and the Twin Cities area because of the epic discount and because it is one of the largest. We’ve been going since December and find that usually a new hill opens up as they are creating more snow and grooming it. There are a couple different chalets that you can visit, and though the lines can be long, the staff is friendly and fairly efficient.

Andrea K — Google review

I just want to say everyone was great. We had a great experience, all the staff is wonderful! The instructors were outstanding, specially the instructor that helped my brother-in-law, Juan. I didn’t catch her name, but she was so kind and patient with him. It was truly an unforgettable experience! Thank you!

Familia V — Google review

I love skiing at Afton! The staff are so friendly and the hours are great. Sunsets and moonrises are pretty rad there too!

Tracy N — Google review

Food here is ridiculously expensive, chicken tenders and fries are $14. The ski hill is not bad, but they don’t have very many black diamonds and it’s a bit confusing. It’s kind maze

Ethan R — Google review

The snowboarding is great when all of the Highlands runs are open! The main qualm that I have leading to the 3-star review is the quality of the cafeteria food/service of the cafeteria employees. My order was given to another person who hadn't been waiting as long as I had been. When the employees noticed that they gave my order away, they rushed to make mine. Unfortunately, due to them rushing, I was served only half-cooked chicken tenders that were still cold in the middle. In addition, the people manning the grills are also responsible for the cash register. This lead to myself and a few others standing and waiting at the cash register with no worker to be found. All of these things in conjunction with one another felt quite a bit frustrating. It could be beneficial to have an order number system so people are helped in the order that they arrived rather than things being disorganized.Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the snowboarding experience. However, the food preparation services leave a lot to be desired.

Marcos M — Google review

It's fine as far as Midwest ski hills go. The staff were all friendly as well, which was nice. My main beef with this place is they are charging more than any other local hill, but still have huge lines backed up at their double chair lifts. Nearly half of the lifts weren't running when I went today. Lots of other places nearby with the same quality of skiing, better lifts and lower prices.

Ross M — Google review

I'd probably give Afton a 3.75. Skied with my daughters the other day. Dare I say our home hill Snowcreek has better vertical? It's close. Anyways, there are a good amount of runs here but they are all pretty easy. The blacks didn't offer much challenge but offered some good cruising. There was a nice route that goes through a pipe with a nice jump at the end. We did that over and over. The terrain park was a bit too ambitious for us, they could use some smaller stuff varied in. Pretty much everything was expensive. I did appreciate being able to park at less crowded chalets and ski right down with the epic pass. The runs were groomed and in good shape after raining a couple days earlier. The merch store is strong. Good stuff in there. Solid resort just expensive without too much variety in terrain. Welch Village is a better value and better skiing, especially when the back bowl is open.

Nature & Parks

Teddy Bear Park is a city park that's open from April to October. The park features a playground, gazebo, picnic tables and rental spaces for events. It's not very large and is most appropriate for children aged 1.5 to 5 years old, although older kids may still enjoy it. There's free parking nearby and bathrooms available. Visitors should be cautious of broken sidewalks near the area which can pose safety issues for strollers and young children.

This is a great park. We came from out of town and really enjoyed walking around the town and the bridge after playing at the park.

Stephen S — Google review

Great place for kids to play and just be kids. First time for my grandchildren and they had a blast will take them back next year.. Highly recommend to all

Judy M — Google review

The park was beautiful, my kids absolutely loved it even if it was cold. The cons? Parking and the steep hills that lead to the park. I loved that it was turf, so no matter the time of year you'd have grass for those beautiful pictures. And there is so many different things to explore!

Michaela S — Google review

We love this park. Very different then other playgrounds. Lots of great photo opportunities of your little ones!! Very safe since there is only one way in and out.

Melissa L — Google review

My son loved this park (age 2). A lot of activities are geared towards younger kids, but there are areas for older children as well

Daniel G — Google review

It was a clean park, with a nice rock climbing wall and then two nice playgrounds. Lots of cover to stay away from the sun and places to sit. I would note that there isn't a bathroom, and the water fountain there does work but I don't know if I'd recommend drinking from it. Overall I would definitely recommend taking the kids there sometime! Oh also, no dogs allowed!

Out_ O — Google review

Welcome to toddler heaven! This is the place to be. Mostly padded grounds, plenty of slides, tunnels, bridges, ladders and sand. My grandson knows this this playground by name! Bonus: plenty of places to sit and watch the little ones too! Bonus+ walk a couple blocks to Leo's for an ice cream treat!

Thomas L — Google review

This was a cute park. Lots of adorable photo opportunities. It also has free parking near and bathrooms, which is a bonus. It's not very big, so we didn't stay too long. It's a nice stop after having a meal with kids. Most likely most appropriate for 1.5-5 year olds (seemed a bit young for my 6-year old niece but she still enjoyed it). My one issue is that the side walk is broken near it and very steep, and my stroller almost tipped over with my daughter. With so many kids around there, they need to be careful...

Lindsey M — Google review

Beautiful park! We loved our visit here.

Teddy Bear Park is a cute little park. Great for little kids (or just to take photos with the teddy bear sculptures and being a kid at heart!) Would recommend to take a stop by this little park!

Tiffany H — Google review

TBP is small but very clean with lots of fun playthings for kids 8 and under. Older kids can try the climbing walls. With lots of large benches and ample free parking across the street, this could be a favorite "let 'em blow off some steam" destination for this grandpa!

Darrin B — Google review

All non-natural surface Park with area themed play equipment. Small climbing areas on natural looking cliff face, a few picnic tables, covered benches for shade, lift bridge themed catwalk, flush toilets and event space available. No dogs allowed, no skateboards allowed. It is completely enclosed apart from the entrance gate. Free parking available, limited space. Street parking is available, but also limited due to the nature of the area.

Derek Q — Google review

Cool little place for the kiddos between the ages 2 and 4! They have Slides, and big teddy bear statue's for pictures. Also an area with sand the kiddos can climb on walls and other playground things. Not the biggest park but great spot to hit if your in looking for a day trip you got the river right down the road and downtown Stillwater!

Shane R — Google review

This is a fun park for the younger aged kiddos. The statues are adorable, the playground equipment well maintained, and the area is surrounded by a tall gate with only one way in or out (nice when keeping an eye on multiple lively kiddos). The park sits on the top of the hill, so the views are fun from the park itself.A large parking lot is right near the park, so you don't have to worry about street parking on a regular day.

Ashley T — Google review

We took my daughter here every day during our stay in Stillwater and will absolutely come back next time we are around! The park has a lot of different things to choose from to play for all ages. I love that the park isn’t full of sand or mulch. There are spaces for kids to climb the rocks, lots of seating options for parents, decent bathrooms and fully enclosed. The park seemed to always be full but the kids were all respectful each time we visited. My daughter is only 3 and made friends with many kids well over her age. Everyone around was very friendly and the park was pleasant.

Leanne D — Google review

Quirky Minnesota find on Facebook and totally worth visiting. My toddler met a little friend and the two of them played until they both melted from the heat. There is a little shade area with benches, otherwise it is all in the heat of the sun. There isn't grass, it is artifical ground covering. The equipment, especially the slides, were hot. We went on an extremely warm day. My son enjoyed the sand box and the tree that you can climb up on the inside the most. It wasn't busy and it is very clean. The bathroom was clean as well. There is a parking lot just across the street. It was fun for the whole family.

I love this park! Went on a moderate loop and did about five miles. Lots of choices for hiking. Cross country skiing in winter. Trails are quite muddy right now so be prepared with adequate shoes. Great birding too!

Lou L — Google review

This park is 30 minutes from me but well worth the drive. The visitor center is very accommodating with indoor bathrooms and kids spaces. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did a short paved walk because of time constraints but would love to go back and take the longer trails. There is a beach and multiple docks. The park is large so it never felt overcrowded. There is ample parking…My only complaint is the planes flying over which did take away from the nature aspect of the park.Still it is a beautiful destination and we will visit again.

I had a lovely private retreat in the building on site in this very nice park. knotty pine walls, ceilings and hardwood floors, wood burning old brick fireplace, tall windows overlooking a mixed-trees forest, window benches, and even a place to hang your coat, on hangers, with a bench to sit down and take off tour boots.Tables and chairs available on site. Adequate kitchen, bathrooms, seems like I saw a door marked showers, too.Building was comfortable, and we were able to adjust temperatures to our liking. Not sure if there is air conditioning, but were were only interested in heat, as we watched an early April snow flurry filter through the trees. It was warm enough to melt on contact with the ground, but cool enough for jackets and heat.Decent parking, and easy freeway access. Within a mile or two of the Minnesota Zoo, which was closed this Sunday evening. I would have stopped in!

This park is amazing, great for hiking, BBQ, skiing. In August, the white water lilies in the park lake are in full bloom, very beautiful. If you want to enjoy the white water lily at close range, you can bring your own kayak down to the lake to enjoy it.

Awesome Park. Great place to bring the dog! So many walking trails. Great views of the lakes. Private. Clean, fun side paths, great place to take photos during anytime of the year.

J — Google review

There are various parking lots at Lebanon Hills. Most of them have an associated building with restrooms and picnic areas. The winter trails for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking are relatively extensive and have good views traversing small lakes. The trails are also very well marked and most junctions include a msp

I went here today to go paddleboarding and had a great time paddling on the handful of different ponds and lakes. I started at the portage located at the Jensen Lake Canoe/ kayak launch and traveled by water on my paddleboard and by foot through the trails carrying my inflatable sup on the trails. There are 6 different portages where you have to get off and walk to next lake or pond and the are not very long. I took a break at the visitor center for lunch and turned around and went back to where I began. I saw a turtle some cool birds and heard an owl. It took about 4 hours round trip and found it very nice to get out into nature and hear, see and smell all the things. There are also lots of hiking trails in the area as well. Great way to spend an afternoon off!

Derik H — Google review

Really cool trail system a lot of floating walk ways and water views. Muskrats playing in the water, turtles floating around. Lots of birds chirping and hanging out. Long main trail and many side trails that circle around the lakes out there. If you do hike around out there make sure u have a trail app like all trails or GMaps to help guide you around. So many side trails and places to go. One of the nicest hiking trails in the twin cities if you like long hikes and nature.

Shane R — Google review

Always enjoy hiking in these trails. Several entry points to different parks of the park. Many lakes to walk around. A good section of trail is paved for easy walking. Rolling hills for a variety of views and terrain. The majority of the trails can be done in loops, very few out and backs.

Aaron N — Google review

Had a blast out kayaking today. The staff is always so friendly and professional. Cheap rentals and equipment is well maintained.

Master G — Google review

I love this park! There are so many trails, lakes and small ponds to discover. It's also large enough to get "lost in the woods" without really getting lost. The trails are well marked and there are maps everywhere. Highly recommend!

Sheena C — Google review

They have some of the most beautiful hiking trails I have ever seen! Sooo many options and the views are incredible!!

Elizabeth B — Google review

What a beautiful place to walk! Walked around Lake McDonough and Jensen Lake and were both beautiful! So many different trails to take! Just being out in nature will make you forget the stress of life. Would highly recommend!

Sights & Landmarks

The Stillwater Lift Bridge, a historic structure dating back to 1931, spans the St. Croix River between Houlton, Wisconsin and Stillwater, Minnesota. It is one of only six bridges of its kind in Wisconsin and Minnesota built before World War II. The bridge is located within the Stillwater Cultural Landscape District and offers a unique example of vertical-lift bridge construction.

A little windy at the time we walked across. It is neat to see and worth the time

R N — Google review

The new Stillwater pedestrian area is a wonderful place to wander around. Today. People had set up tarps in order to prepare for the fireworks show. The lift bridge is still functional and was raised up for small boats that went under it. Kids love watching it and watching the counterweights moving up and down. The bathrooms in the area are wonderful and clean and there's a lot of places to sit and enjoy the views of the river.

Charles N — Google review

World snow sculpting championships held in Stillwater. A very good area to have this event. The loop trail is open year round. I recommend it.

Jesse B — Google review

This place never disappoints me; any season you go, there is always fun. Here is a couple of pictures from my recent visit.

RuSh — Google review

We have tremendously enjoyed our visits to the Stillwater historic area, especially along the bridge and waterfront areas. The Snow Sculpture competition was fun and interesting!

Russell B — Google review

The lift bridge is part of a hiking /biking trail that crosses the St Croix River between Minnesota and Wisconsin, offering exercise and great views of the river valley.

David T — Google review

Very cool bridge went there with my friend Adriana. Was super awesome seeing it lifting. Very nice in the summer. Great view of the Saint Croix river, stillwater and Wisconsin. Nice walk across the bridge. Worth the trip to hang out on the bridge on a nice day when the sun is setting. ⚽💕🙏😊🍏🎱

Joseph S — Google review

Its always a great getaway for Twin cities residents, head East and find Stillwater, go to the bridge and have some ice cream later. I went yesterday and got some videos with my drone

Miguel R — Google review

It would have been great if they had left it open to motorcycle traffic. Personally, I know a lot of people that ride that no longer go to Stillwater because they can't cross that bridge. Also, lately, the amount of construction going on really keeps a lot of the riders I know from going here. That is a lot of lost revenue for Downtown Stillwater.

Mark G — Google review

The Stillwater Lift Bridge is the staple of this town! With such history and just how it over sees the St. Croix River. And how this bridge is for pedestrians and for biking makes it even better. Would highly recommend to go and see the Stillwater Lift Bridge that is right in Lowell Park.

Tiffany H — Google review

Great place to get the kids out and feel the Fresh air! It is an amazing place. Plenty of spots to sit and eat the Best Ice Cream in town! Yum! Parking is a bit hustle but worth it!With gas price through the roof, this place gives you the best nature has to offer! Get out and enjoy the View and Fresh air!

Eyob W — Google review

Lots of interesting shops. The bridge is operational. You can walk across to the wisconson side. E-bike rentals are also available.

Kurt E — Google review

Beautiful old bridge that has been turned into a pedestrian only bridge. It allows you to cross over into Wisconsin and provides fabulous views of the coast.

Melanie H — Google review

This location is for the historic bridge, not for the town of Stillwater. The bridge was recently restored as a pedestrian and bicycle crossing. The bridge adds to the scenic beauty of the area. It is quite fun to cross to enjoy the views and watch the bridge raise in the summer months. The bridge is part a trail loop with the new suspension bridge to the south. I enjoyed stopping by to visit the Liftmaster.

What Brian and Harmony have created downtown is special. River Siren is a place for all. My kids enjoy coming with and playing cards, skeech or bubble hockey. It’s my favorite patio on the water downtown. The staff are incredibly friendly. The entertainment is talented and fun. The Porter, Stout & WC IPA’s are my personal favorites.

Aaron V — Google review

I had their west coast ipa and it was awful, it's been awhile since I didn't finish a beer. I didn't stay for another since the service wasn't great. If they are sold out of items, they should cross them off/ remove them for the order board. If there was a little professionalism they'd know when they are out of something or at least wait on taking my money before letting me know they are out of something (Twice!!!)They got a patio facing the river, I guess that's their selling point?

James B — Google review

First time coming since they changed names, nice space! Excellent blueberry hefe and red ale… excited to come back in the summer.

Amanda T — Google review

Stopped in for a quick beer since we were walking around the town. Disappointed they don't serve flights. My hazy IPA was good. Nice outdoor seating and deck overlooking the river. dog friendly and family friendly

Jessica J — Google review

Good beer. Great location. Super nice patio. Newly renovated space.

Michael R — Google review

River Siren is a fun place to hang out in Stillwater. There is ample seating inside and on the patio, where the view is lovely. Plenty of games at the entrance to pick up and play. There are food options certain days of the week. I had the seltzer, it was delicious.Pets are welcome on the patio.

Prim I — Google review

What a great addition to downtown! The new owners have done a great job renovating the building. The new patio is amazing. The interior is open with river views from almost every angle. The beer is a varied selection, ipas to stouts with a hard seltzer selection. I really enjoyed the hazy ipa and pe ale. They have homemade soda as well. The patio is dog friendly. You can bring your own food in or try the delicious taco truck on site or walk 1/2 block for yummy pizza. I’ll be back!

Kayla's W — Google review

Couple beers stopping through town. Large amount of space both in and out. Kid friendly. Great views on the outer deck. Great variety of beers on tap. Def recommend!

Bryce Y — Google review

Beautiful sunset at River Siren Brewing in Stillwater last night! At Classic Construction & Consulting we love supporting small businesses like River Siren - always great service from Brian and his team!

Classic C — Google review

Great location. Wife and I really enjoy having beers overlooking the St. Croix River. They sometimes have live music and food trucks. Beer is pretty decent too.

Brian R — Google review

River Siren Brewing is totally awesome. Great spot down by the river, with plenty of room both inside and out on the patio. We managed to catch them on a nice summer evening with live music on the back patio, and boy what a treat it was! The beer is pretty good too. I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a drink sometime!

Sam S — Google review

The beer was pretty good and the downtown location is great. There is indoor and outdoor seating that faces the river. Checks all the boxes of a good craft brewery.

Johnny L — Google review

Such a fun atmosphere! Great beer and a relaxing place to hangout. Love that they have a cozy fireplace inside too!

Amanda M — Google review

Great beer and great spot. Patio is a great spot to enjoy the outdoors. Great live music. So much better beer than maple island. We enjoy our time here!!

Zoo

Zoos & Aquariums

A 485-acre preserve exhibiting local & global animals from Russian grizzly bears to butterflies.

The Minnesota Zoo is a wonderful place to visit, whether or not you're into animals. A vast collection of animals from all over the world keeps every trip interesting. The Tropics Trail and Grizzly Coast both immerse you in a different world than what we are used to, in opposite climates. There's plenty to learn and lots to do. Also a great place for little ones! Just make sure they know how to respect the animals.👍

Wesley F — Google review

Very nice zoo. The animals appear well cared for. Lots of places for children to play. Decent options for lunch or a snack. Some nice touches, like the Llama trail, where you can walk around with the animals. My favorite was probably the Tropics trail with a number of beautiful birds. Can't wait to go back later in July when the tiger cubs are old enough for their debut!

Kimberlyn B — Google review

We have a membership and love taking our toddler. Every time we visit it's a new experience. Our favorite things are the bird show, the llama trek where you get to walk with the llamas and pet them, the farm where you can feed the animals, and the play area with splash pad. Our toddler also loves the bee hive play area. Get the membership and go early in the membership only time frame if you want less people. The membership will also make you feel better about a shorter trip if the kids get restless and you need to head home before seeing everything.

Jasmine M — Google review

It was kinda expensive; $51.90 for two people & parking. I would have hoped there would have been more to see for those prices. Also, the constant ask to "round up and donate more" when you already paid quite a bit for entry is annoying. The signage in the park isn't that great either, and they did away with paper maps (understandable), but better signage would be nice! We did enjoy the nature walk but would have liked to see more animals!

Lindsay W — Google review

This zoo is super unique and I appreciate how they preserved much of the existing forest and landscape. It was a fantastic walking path. Tickets are $21.95 for adults, but my 1 year old niece was free. They have a food court as well. I don’t know if they have maps, but we definitely needed one because it is easy to get turned around. This zoo is a lot of walking and there are somewhat hilly walkways, but they have elevators to go from the walkway down to the zoo.

Terra S — Google review

Absolutely gorgeous! It seems to be under construction and updates right now, but still lots of animals! Not many food kiosks/stalls open at the moment. Enough that it wasn't too bad though. We even got to see a newly born bison!!

Mx. R — Google review

Minnesota Zoo is a wonderful experience for adults and youngsters. We enjoyed the scenic walk by the lakes and all the wildlife along with the exotic animals from around the world. It was fun to see the baby animals especially the prairie dogs, goats, chicks and little bison.A carousel ride costs only $2 per person. You do need to purchase it on a machine next to the ride. You will get a coin to use for the ride. The carousel is gorgeous and ornate with beautiful artwork of nature and animals. What a lovely memory! The aquariums were amazing! The shark tank was really cool. The smaller tanks were neat as well. There was a large variety of sea creatures including sea otters, a seal, sharks, a spot fin porcupine fish, a sting ray, sea horses, clown fish, leafy sea dragon, sea turtle, eels and many more. There are two areas you are able to touch the creatures if you like. In one pool there are small sharks. In the other area there are anemones and star fish. All the exhibits give you the opportunity to read about the creatures and the habitats they come from. The restrooms are family friendly with baby changing stations and step stools for the little ones. Thank you for being prepared for families!

Tina X — Google review

We love the MN Zoo! We went to see the dinosaur exhibit they have right now. Besides the heat, my kids enjoyed it. They even walked/ran through to see the dinosaurs a couple times. I have hyper kids, so another great part about the Zoo is the play areas, interactive spots, & splash pad for kids(& adults)! Another thing to remember if you visit, online ticket purchase a head of time is required, & check their daily schedule for the animal feedings, bird or dolphin show, & kids activities. One more thing, if you have a large family(like us), the membership is worth the price!

Alicia P — Google review

Had a great time on Tuesday with my 4yo daughter. We walked part of the brand new Treetop Trail. I loved seeing parts of the zoo I hadn't seen in 10 years when the monorail was retired. More importantly I enjoyed the message behind the trail as it focuses on overall wellness, reflection, and mindfulness. We got some great shots of the tigers, puma, and birds from the 3pm Bird Show. I had not seen the show in years and this was my daughter's first time. She enjoyed it and was bummed when she wasnt picked to volunteer.

Nichole T — Google review

Great place to walk around and the newly completed Tree Top Trail was very convenient. It had multiple spots where you could get off if you wanted to see a group of animals from the main trails instead of from above. It also had benches set up throughout.

Molly M — Google review

With the uncommonly warm weather in December, we were able to go for a walk and enjoy the zoo on a sunny afternoon. We walked along the tree top trail and then went down on the ground level trail to see animals more closely. Then there was the nice warmth and moisture of the tropical display inside of a building entirely dedicated to the theme of animals and plants from this band of nice climate around the “ central belt” of the Earth. Did you know more than half the species of animals on the globe live in this geographical zone?

Elisa N — Google review

Awesome outdoor and indoor trails, well done educational information suitable for all ages, amazing animals and birds from around the world and from land, air, and sea. We were so lucky to see the new baby Bactrian camel! It was a lovely early spring day with many people but not crowded on a Friday. Always a fantastic experience full of interesting things to see, do, and learn.

Anne C — Google review

Such an awesome zoo. It's obvious that the animals are well taken care of. It would be nicer if there were more maps along the way (we got pretty lost) or even an app with the map. But still a fun time. The tropical exhibit is AMAZING! The primate house is a little underwhelming. It's really awesome that they have an exhibit dedicated to Minnesota plants and animals. Definitely a great place to learn!

Laura B — Google review

This zoo is beyond amazing! The layout is setup in a very thoughtful way, that makes the flow move smoothly, and transitions for kiddos easy. The highlights for our family were the camel rides, the llama trek, the dolphins, and the Dino Hideout exhibit! We had no idea about the Dino exhibit, but WOW that made our trip to the zoo even more memorable. My two boys were absolutely obsessed, and it was set up in an area that was very kid friendly. The kids were able to run around and check out the Dinos, and do some playing in the play area setup. Great little break from all the walking and looking! The zoo does have bathrooms and kiosks all over to make sure you and your people have lots of options for hydrating and bathroom breaks. With a 6 and 4 year old, these were both very important on a 90 degree day!The zoo was quite clean, staff very friendly, and the attractions were fantastic. Lots of opportunity to learn, have fun, and experience the amazing creatures living there.

Noelle P — Google review

There has never been a bad time at the zoo for us. With so many different places the kids are always entertained. The Bird Show is a must see for all ages(spoiler alert have a dollar bill ready)Always clean, good patching, and plenty of place for breaks. Always one of my favorite places to go.

Charles L — Google review

Fantastic zoo! The employees are friendly, happy and very knowledgeable. The animals are beautiful, animated and obviously well cared for. Came for the day and ended up buying a year pass. Can't wait to come back in the evening . Even more excited for the high walk to be completed at the end of the month. If you have never been here, what's wrong with you? Go!!!!

Heather — Google review

I love the Minnesota Zoo. I enjoy the new trail tree top walkway. It is a beautiful way to see the animals.I also like to get down close to the animals and the zoo has built many enclosures that allow you to be safely feet away from the animals and still not disturb them. The food choices are nice and the new order kiosk allows you to order, grab a pager and then wait comfortably at your seat.Parking was abundant and the dolphin interaction was fun, but short.I would love to see the monkeys have a little more space to roam as their enclosure was small. The wolf enclosure was also somewhat limited for the animal and it didn't have anything to keep them busy or entertained.Overall it was a wonderful day at the Minnesota zoo. I highly recommend you visiting and supporting this zoo.

Joe S — Google review

We went on a clear blue sky unseasonably warm Thursday in February and thoroughly enjoyed the Treetop Trail in the sun. The animals also appeared to be enjoying the sun as they snoozed in their sun splashed habitats. The sea dragons and sea horses were some of my favorite critters, but being able to watch beavers from an underwater perspective was priceless. I had no idea how cute they are when they swim around like big burritos with rudders. If I could have a pet beaver, I'm all in. He can even sit on my couch. Oh! I almost forgot to mention there was one fish in the tropical pool underwater viewing area who also stole my heart. She wasn't described in the interpretative materials, but she looked a bit like a minivan with fins, and she was very curious about my phone. She posed for one of the pictures I've shared here.

Camille S — Google review

I've already been to the zoo twice since moving here a month ago. It's beautifully laid out with fantastic walking paths and enclosures for the animals that are obviously very thoughtfully designed. Converting the old monorail track into a walking trail, The Treetop Trail, was a stroke of genius. I could sit and watch the snow monkeys for hours. The food is a bit overpriced and not particularly great but it's a zoo so I'm not expecting fantastic dining. Lockers are available at a very low charge which is fantastic. Highly recommend a trip if you live close by and haven't been. It does get quite busy so I would recommend going early on a weekday if you can manage it.

Jayce M — Google review

We went to their Jack O Lantern spectacular. It was amazing. The pumpkin carvings were fantastic and the exhibits were set up beautifully. It was a cold, blustery day but the event was packed. Our tickets were at 7pm. We waited a few minutes in line and then got to enjoy the event.

Sharon K — Google review

A very fun walk on a paved path, handicap accessible, through a wooded area full of thousands of beautiful, carved, and lighted pumpkins. It is a bit hilly and pretty dim in some areas but very doable for everyone. (My step count was almost 6000 by the time we were done). It was crowded, but you go at your own pace so easy enough to get out of the crowd. I can only imagine the amount of time and work that goes into doing this. Some of the pumpkins are up in the trees while others are on stands or elaborate displays. Take your time and enjoy all of them, it's worth the walk. I took lots more pictures, could only upload 50.

Patti B — Google review

Very little updates(fresh paint, building accents, ect.), especially to the tropics trail building. We came March 1st, I would say about 65-70% of the exhibits had animals in them, but yet we paid full admission, and the prices are getting ridiculous. I understand the money goes to a good cause but it's just too much now

Nate H — Google review

We went on an extra day off for the kids and it was not crowded at all. Animals appear well cared for, lots of conservation work information was provided, and the employees we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable. If you have kids and you plan to go morethan twice a year, the membership pays for itself.

Shopping mall

Shopping

The Mall of America is a huge shopping center with many stores including restaurants and an amusem*nt park. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States.

Absolutely worth it! Don't be fooled that because it's a mall you'll have to spend money everywhere you go. But if you are treating this as a destination you should come with the idea of doing some experiences and enjoying your time even if you're not a shopper! If you have a family there's basically an amusem*nt park in the very Middle where you can buy a pass to do all the rides and it's well worth it because the weather is always great indoors!

PJ D — Google review

This place is pretty incredible. We are not from the area but have come to visit a couple of times and there’s always something to do for everyone. Nickelodeon Universe can be fun for the whole family. If you have multiple days you will be here, that is pretty much a whole day. We went on a Monday and lines were short until about 11:30 and then the crowds picked up. There are plenty of store options and food options here. Definitely recommend as there is something for everyone.

Maura L — Google review

I love the Mall of America. It's a fun place to explore a huge number of stores, have something to eat or take in a movie. There is something for everyone to do even an indoor amusem*nt park. And don't forget the LEGO store.

Joe H — Google review

Nickelodeon Universe is an amazing park for EVERYONE. The park alone is worth visiting the mall. There's also a huge food court. It's just all around pure fun and excitement and something for everyone. It's impressive how many rides they can fit into such a small space, the theming is vibrant and so inviting. There's also the Lego store and the Crayola store, also incredible! Highly recommended Mall of America and especially Nickelodeon Universe!

Abe O — Google review

The Mall of America 🇺🇸 is the greatest shopping mall I've ever been to! It has everything you could ever want to buy or eat there, and the selections are varied and absolutely wonderful! You can't do everything in one day at the mall, so do plan on spending more time there. It's a fascinating place to visit, and I can guarantee that you'll have a fun time!

Joe K — Google review

Over the years I have seen many an exhibit and store come through the wall of the Mall of America. This truly is a sight.Even if you're not one for shopping, it's great to see all that's in store here. There's plenty of parking and for a mall that is extremely large, it's actually well designed. There are very few times where you will feel as if it's crowded. As a tourist attraction, it's on my must visit list.

Gwendolyn H — Google review

I used to live in Minnesota as a child and I love coming to this mall on the weekends. It's a 30min drive from my city, Minneapolis. It's one of the biggest mall in the U.S. hence the name. It has endless stores and it also has rides like an amusem*nt park. If you ever in the area, you have to check out this mall.

Ann L — Google review

The mall continues to be full of great stores, some that have closed in other areas. The amusem*nt park in the middle looked like lots of fun, although we didn't use it. The food court has lots of options and there are also several full restaurants throughout the mall. Some coworkers and I were in Minneapolis for a work conference and had an enjoyable evening exploring the mall.

Julie B — Google review

This mall is huge and have many stores also a place for the kids. A lot of walking I will say, parking is simple and free. The food options are great, they also have vegan options. This place is not crowded which is a plus. This is a place for kids and adults so give it a try.

Tom W — Google review

It was a bucket list item to come here. I don't like to shop but there was plenty else to do. I really loved all of the various culinary options available. The mall was pretty clean. Bathrooms readily available though the signs could be better. There weren't any raucous youths running about while we were there. The amusem*nt park looked cool. Attached hotels are also very convenient. If you don't shop/ride rollercoasters you could just come here to eat or people watch like we did.

Melinda B — Google review

Large mall. Lots of stores and food options. Very nice in appearance. The theme park in the middle is fun. Lots of activities - nerf and laser course, mini golf, amusem*nt park rides, 5D movies, illusion room, axe throwing. It will cost you a lot to do all these things, plan on spending $. Average $20-30 per person/activity. They have unlimited ride wrist bands. Parking garage is big and 7ft clearance.

Jessica M — Google review

Your one stop for shopping, dining and having fun. I went early so it wasn't too packed. I walked around for 2 hours on 3 levels just to experience the largest mall in America. I like that they have kiosks all throughout to help you find what your looking for. Wear some comfortable clothing and good walking shoes.

Pamela B — Google review

Over 600 stores, a great food court (entire floor), movie theater on the top floor, and an amusem*nt park in the center of it all. On average, it takes two days to really see and do everything, so pace yourself. Definitely worth the trip!!

David S — Google review

First time visit. Had a blast. Lots of food options, stores, and a small theme park. Can easily spend at least a day here. Good location next to the airport and has hotels attached. Semi truck parking available but only during operation hrs.

Patrick W — Google review

It was an amazing experience! Crowded due to the long weekend but definitely worthy to visit. Interesting shops and good quality food even just in the food court!! They even have accessible lockers for shoppers!

Kemi K — Google review

Visited this mall on March 30, 2024.I have heard so much about this mall before coming here but my experience left me little disappointed when it’s come to shopping. There are many stores here but same store are everywhere else as well. There is no uniqueness in shopping experience. If you consider other activities like Nickelodeon Universe (kind of fun activity park for kids and young ones) Sea life, LegoAdventure park etc then it’s totally worth it.This place is ideal for family with small kids. Here under one roof kids can play, eat and have lots of fun.Bathrooms were not in good clean condition. If you are coming from another state or from Canada for shopping only then there is no need at all. Spending in US $ will cost you more.Three stars

Abdul S — Google review

Living so close to the mall...we visit here very regularly. Sometimes it's a quick stop...for either a particular item...or...a meal. Other times...we can easily spend the day here...shopping...going on rides...seeing a film...just browsing. It's been interesting to see it adapt...and...change over the years. Obviously...there is an insane amount of variety to be found...everything from clothing...to dining...to top-notch entertainment choices...and...then some. There really is something for everyone. Also...the fact that Minnesota doesn't charge tax on clothing...or...shoes...is a huge draw for people. There is plenty of free parking all around the mall. You can always find a spot...no matter how crowded it is. There is also a newly-remodeled transit hub with both city bus...and...light rail service onsite. Many local hotels also provide shuttles to...and...from both the mall...and...the airport. Several hotels are within walking distance to the mall...with two being directly attached. The mall is a place that we will always come to because...it's in our backyard...and...we love it.

Amazing mall, second time here and I love it. Super clean, great parking, amazing stores, tons of things to do , you will need a week to enjoy everything here. Amazing coffee shops, amazing restaurants, great area for kids to spend the day at the theme park. Family bathrooms are amazing, specially if you have young ones.

Mall of America in Minneapolis: Shopper's Paradise. With over 500 stores, endless shopping options await. Exciting entertainment, diverse dining, and convenient accessibility make it a must-visit destination.

Nice time , kids wanted to stop and check it out on our way west. Nice lots to do. Visit mini golf, aquarium, and of course shopping!! Food choices huge. And even a Crayola experience old time photos kids loved too. 3 days was a good time.

Bring good walking shoes and come early! Being the largest mall of America the parking lot gets packed! I was fortunate to arrive early on a Friday morning (around 1015) and parking was great, but when departing the parking lot was completely full! there are 3 plus levels in this mall and an amusem*nt park inside! I recommend making room for two days at this mall to experience all it has to offer! This includes all the commons stores you will find at other malls, local shops, and activity stores.

David O — Google review

This place is amazing. There’s so much to do here you can check out all the stores they have and see if you can find any good deals or there’s always the amusem*nt park. There’s tons of fun activities to do here. I really like The Amazing Mirror Maze and the 5D Extreme Attraction. I highly recommend checking out as many of the events and attractions as possible and they have so many different kinds of food to choose from while you spend your day at the mall. This place is a dream on earth. Definitely can’t recommend checking it out enough.

This is not a quick stop visit.Plan on spending at least a day, if not 2, in order to see the whole mall. There are sports stores, antique stores, department stores, unique stores, and a fabulous food court. My husband and I.Walked over seventeen thousand steps in about four hours. They have family activities at the Nickelodeon, Sea World, and Lego land, just to name a few. The food court offers a worldwide varietyOf tastes. The mall is a magical place around the holidays with all its decor and musical concerts. We always look forward to spending the day here

In the world of retail, food and entertainment, MOA has got it all. It's only 10 minutes from the MSP airport and surrounded by plenty of hotels that offer free shuttles. A Lyft or Uber is also very convenient, even during the colder winter months. This place has tons of stores to choose from to get anythingyou could need, and even multiple locations of some. The movie theater is nice, and the Nickelodeon theme park in the middle is amazing. It offers a ton of neat rides for all ages. The mall is set up like a 4 leaf clover with 4 levels, but most stores are located on the first 3 floors, with the 3rd floor being packed with different food options. It took us 2 full days to actively walk around and enjoy the whole place. We traveled from Tampa and made a weekend out of it. The only downside is having to carry your jacket and purchases the whole time. They do have lockers you can rent, but they can be pricey. Every time we looked the longest line to get into a store was for Legos! Overall, it's an awesome, safe place with tons of security everywhere you look. Definitely recommend a trip to check it out.

I have been coming to the Mall of America since it opened. It’s definitely worth seeing. It does get busy during the holidays but is a fun experience. The amusem*nt park is even fun to walk through if you have time. It’s safe and clean and the employees are friendly. I haven’t had any bad experiences—and I’ve been here many many times

I always saw this on the Travel channel when I was a kid, dreaming of being able to come here. Visiting for the first time as an adult, crazy to see how large this mall is as well as the variety of food, shops and entertainment there. At the end of the day it is just a mall so as an adult it was ok but the kid in me would have been super excited to see it live. Very good place to take a family, lots of entertainment things to do and see.

Josh B — Google review

Amazing place. Has a very diverse collection of shops and boutiques. The Lego land in side is astonishing. Great place to bring your kids. They have a full on amusem*nt park I side the mall at it's center. Has the best food court I've ever been in. And that includes places I've been to In Vegas. The price rages from a couple bucks. To a couple thousand bucks. They also put on live bands performances. If your coming to M.O.A. for the first time. Plan ahead and get there early if you want to see the whole mall. It could possibly take a week. If your a browser and take you time In each store.

Matt P — Google review

Clean, easy parking on east ramp, really fun to walk around, lots of places we don’t see in our home town. The legos were impressive. The theme park was especially fun. I like the option to pay per ride using points. We even saw a jazz band play in the atrium.

E. H — Google review

I’ve always wanted to visit the mall and finally did. I wasn’t disappointed but maybe more so expected more. The coolest part was the theme park area with the rest of the mall just a supersized version of a mall in any bigger city, sure there are special stores and TONS of normal stores but nothing really stood out to me. That being said I think it is a must visit to cross off one’s bucket list if nearby. I drove around 9 hours, because it’s always been on my bucket list, and can say it probably wasn’t worth the drive but there are other things to do in the area and that makes it worthwhile overall.

Brandon J — Google review

This place is the full standard for malls. I think they set the bar really high. I'm my opinion, having seen so many shopping malls falling into bankruptcy, they need to look at their playbook. This place was packed, and not just the amusem*nt park. Yes. An amusem*nt park in the mall. I said it. I love how every few hundred feet they have an electronic map with directions. Brilliant! I have been to so many malls in my years. This lives up to the hype. Did I mention an aquarium? The list is way too long, folks. If you're in Minneapolis MN and you have a few hours to kill. Here you go. You won't see it all, though.

Smc — Google review

As a European, I have never seen anything this big in my life ;).But it is so much fun.You can spend there literally the whole day.Fun for kids, aquarium, Illusion museum, shops for adults, food corner with almost everything you can ask for.It was definitely an experience:)

Hannah — Google review

3 1/2 floors of amazing stores! A diverse mixture of goods and services. Clean clean clean! Draws a large cross section of cultures and ages! Family friendly. FREE parking.

Dennis ( — Google review

This mall is huge and super fun to see. I spent a few hours here by myself since I was in town for work. I took the metro from downtown straight there. So easy. They had a lot of sorts and I can't speak to the theme park since I didn't go but I'm sure it's great.

Cari M — Google review

I missed visiting a mall like this one. I came from Birmingham and there is nothing compared with this mall. The variety of restaurants, stores, attractions, and that Nickelodeon park are amazing! (Except for the Crayola adventure) It is that kind of place where if you don't have any plans but want to hang out, you will feel you made something in your day, from walking, eating something yummy, enjoy the park or another attraction, going shopping, drinking with your friends... This mall has something for everyone

Parks

The Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis's most-visited park is a beautiful 53-foot waterfall that tumbles over rocks and logs. The falls was previously known as Brown's Falls and it was immortalized by the 1855 poem The Song of Hiawatha by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

After visiting my first time. I had to bring my other better half son. On a cold -7 night. Parking wasn't an issue at 9pm and free of course this time of year. We made our way to the high falls then we made our way to the 2nd bridge. Not a sole in the park. I'll be back in the summer months. A great frozen in time high falls. Enjoy your window to the World behind the falls everyone!

Mike K — Google review

A nice park and a nice waterfall. If you go down the steep steps by the side of the falls you can walk over an old stone bridge and walk along side the river... Very pleasant. Car Parking by meter in the Park Lot was $1.50 for 1 Hour.

Martin R — Google review

Love going here especially when the waterfall is flowing strong in the spring. The trails to it and around it are always fun to go on. I hope they repair the stairs going down to it on that one side soon.

Alvin W — Google review

Such a lovely park just a few miles from the center of Minneapolis. There’s good parking for a small fee. You take a short walk and are rewarded with a beautiful waterfall.

Jen W — Google review

Beautiful park with lots to see, especially the waterfalls. You will find many amenities at the area, like a restaurant and craft beers, as well as public restrooms and water fill stations. If you are going to see the falls, be prepared for a little hike down, but it will be definitely worth it.Getting here with a public transport was a bit of a chore, but nothing too complicated if you have some time to spare.

Sam R — Google review

Nice place to walk, hike or to just relaxHuge lawns with plenty of seatingThe hiking trail is along the creek, so fairly pleasant if you don’t mind the slight smell

Suhas P — Google review

Really beautiful, the whole area of park, falls is just so gorgeous,i can only imagine how amazing this place is in summer and winter when the fall freezes. Definitely a must go see!

I’ve been coming to this falls for over a decade season after season and never gets old. A beautiful Falls / park in the heart of twincities metro with different view in different seasons.Must visit in fall if you want to see vibrant fall colors. It is a beautiful long trail for a beautiful walk or a jog, family and friends get together for hanging out and outdoor grilling.

Sreenivas R — Google review

Nice easy way to see a waterfall in an urban area. Trails and bikes to rent. Could use more convenient public restrooms. Parking is by meter at 2.25/hr. No trespassing areas may need better barriers if the baracaided areas are indeed dangerous

GRAMS — Google review

Last waterfall we have seen in the state of Minnesota. It was nice. It will probably be a lot bigger in the springtime with the water flow. Be prepared to pay for parking. Not that much. But there's no free parking.

Jeanette J — Google review

Love the family and pet friendly park. Lots of places to sit and take a break. Some steep stairs and the trails are muddy but worth walking and seeing a bit of history. Great place to enjoy a picnic with family. The Falls was very nice. Street parking and other parking are all pay at meter. The place was surprisingly clean. Come visit and enjoy the outdoors and trails.

Sylvia S — Google review

Great park within the city for all year round activities.

Ian N — Google review

Really nice park area but the falls we’re in disrepair. Nice trails and a little creek that many were dipping their toes in.

Sabrina K — Google review

Beautiful park with nice scenic trails. If you’re just stopping to see the falls, I would say probably about 30 mins should be sufficient, but it’s beautiful so you might want to enjoy the view a bit longer. There’s pay parking right by the top of the falls. Close by, there’s a stair/trail leading to the bottom of the falls. I visited Memorial Weekend 2023, plenty of beautiful views, parking, and mosquitoes 🦟.

Luke C — Google review

Parking close by is reasonable. Pretty. Good stairs. Trails at the bottom to walk on too. One side's stairs were closed but it wasn't far to the other side. Do it. It's worth it.

Timothy O — Google review

The waterfall was gorgeous, however.....the park is not maintained very well and there was a lot of graffiti on the surrounding structures. I'm not from here and I was surprised to see something so pretty treated like a sewer runoff....sad, people were smoking weed and drinking everywhere, not a place I'd bring my family back to, clean it up Minnesota, take pride in what you have.

Daryl B — Google review

Always love coming here. It's my favorite place in the city. Never been to the bottom in the Winter until today. It's definitely different than being down there in warmer weather.

Phitsamay C — Google review

Its so convenient to get to on the blue line, its a beautiful park in the fall and the natural waterfall is blissful to see. Cant believe this park exists in the middle of a major city! Great place to spread some of my grandfathers ashes.

Bronson A — Google review

I couldn’t believe this place was even real, it looked like straight out of a movie. We just stopped real quick to take a look at the waterfalls but you can rent a bike, rest or take a walk while being rewarded by a beautiful view. Parking is not bad at all, it was around $2/hour. I loved visiting during fall but I bet it would look just as beautiful during the summer!

Jenn L — Google review

Maybe because it's fall, but definitely would love to see this place in the spring and summer. Also hopefully with a bit of TLC to some of the areas. All in all what a wonderful visit.

J K — Google review

I went to see the waterfall. For being in the city I was shocked by how clean it was. No vandalism. The nature aspect of the park is actually very nice. The trail was gorgeous and there's not a lot you have to do to get to the waterfall. The waterfall is super pretty and I went really early on a weekday so I had no problem parking and I only saw a few people.

Katie A — Google review

This place is absolutely gorgeous any time of the year! I love coming here with my family, and any time we have an out of state visitor, we are sure to bring them here to see the beauty of Minnehaha.

Beatrice A — Google review

Had a great walk near the waterfall. Although up close the water looked a tad bit dirty? Two of the stairs were closed and we could see graffiti on the wall so I'm not sure what happened there lol. But generally a very pretty area

Sleek quarters in a plush hotel offering an indoor pool, a golf course, dining & a casino.

All the staff that I encountered were friendly and very helpful! Loved the smoke-free gaming area. I'm not much of a gambler, but have avoided casinos over the years due to the smoke. Glad they made a separate area for smokers. Took in a show at the Mystic Showroom and stayed one night in a Promenade Tower room which was modern, clean, and spacious. Great experience overall!

The rooms are nice. The view is great. The casino floor staff are amazing. The staff and food at the Asia fusion are 5 star (seriously great!)Staff at front desk were not very receptive to me as a customer. I was felt like I wasn't appreciated as a guest and they even gave me a faulty room key that the front desk mentioned wasn't working for her before she gave it to me.The next day the pool was closed - not signs, notice or information was given to guests. When I called the front desk the employee was curt and uninformative to the situation and then had claimed "everyone is pretty much well informed". Except me... Apparently.Poor service from hotel staff. If you're not a VIP or when they answer the phone without their name, YOU will get lower grade service.

Always enjoy coming here! When I was gambling I was hitting bonus after bonus...a great time. The room was so nice...king size with 2 armed chairs with a nice desk too. Only thing I was surprised to notice was no microwave. But we never needed it. We did have a small refrigerator and iron/board. Dinner was great....like I said....it's always a joy yo come here. So many slot machines....loved it! We are going back again in a couple months. Take time to dine- in. Spend more than just one night...

The slots were pretty tight both nights we went but we had a blast finding favorite slot machines we hadn't seen lately, ones we used to love way back, and new, exciting games. We never even got to see everything. The lights bring excitement and a burst of energy. The entire place was really nice and interesting. We didn't make it to restaurants on time but did enjoy pizza and sesame chicken on the promenade. Service was always quick and Friendly. They even have "slot dog" carts walking around the floor selling. I did feel the drinks were a bit steep but appreciated the free coffee or soda areas scattered around. We had only planned on going one night but there was so much yet to see that we went back the next night.

Best Casino in the area!!Anytime we go to Mystic Lake, we have a great time. New Years is an absolute blast. Love seeing Good for Gary perform. Cosmic Bingo on Friday & Saturday nights is a lot of fun.As someone who's sensitive to the smell of smoke, I greatly appreciate that it's smoking free. It makes going a lot more enjoyable and keeps me coming back. Everywhere is extremely clean.Soda machines are difficult to locate, so I would appreciate more obvious signage or even arrows that point to where to go. It's really easy to get turned around when walking around Mystic on the casino floor.Overall, I would highly recommend going here!!

Great room got a large suite and wasn't let down with living room, dining area, and small bar with extra seating. Their steak house was 🔥... suggest the aged steaks but my friend had the duck dish that was also excellent 👍. An abundance of Blackjack tables and slots to choose from. This place had the most blackjack tables open aside from grand casino Hinkley 🎰. Down side was I was told we could be in our room no later than 4pm when I made the reservations and when we got there we didn't get into our room until around 7pm so no showers for our 7pm dinner reservations. We had to pay for our roll outs even tho we paid for one of the most expensive rooms... 😒 🙄 other casinos we have been to comp the roll outs for renting their suites also the most expensive roll outs of any casino I've been to. Other than minor inconveniences the stay was great and the casino play was excellent.

This place is a con! They all of a sudden put their progressives up once the gaming commission comes in and warns them. But still don't have to pay out. I love how they gloat about being the #1 casino in profit haha of course they are. They take everything from people. They rob you cause they know they can. Open casinos for anyone to open. Give them competition. They should not have exclusive rights!!

Ziggy F — Google review

Went to both Mystic Lake casino and Little Six. Spent most of the time at Little Six. The casino staff in the past have recommended Little Six Casino that is supposed to be better for winning. That is a total joke! Both Mystic Lake and Little Six are very bad. I am surprised they are still allowed to be in business. The service was terrible also. No longer saw workers coming around asking if people wanted soda to drink. Had to go find it ourselves. The place is very dark for the lighting as well. Do not recommend and do not plan on going there again in the future and will not recommend to family and friends. At the restaurant at Little Six, they give a glass full of ice with very little fountain soda in it. Terrible.

Scott R — Google review

We've been to Mystic Lake many times, and I'm happy to say their pillows have gotten better. It used to be abysmally soft, but now it seems they've gotten better pillows. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. It's also updated for all the snooty people put there lol there's a coffee machine and a fridge but we didn't use either.I like that only guests with key cards can come to the hotel part of the place. It's somewhat safer, although one can still game that system. I also like that there are people who are stationed to watch over the hotel elevators. When or are they ever bringing back the buffet? I loved that buffet! For this trip, we were here very late-- past midnight and so for food, we went to The Promenade where you can get pizza or fries or burger or noodles for a late-night grub. The beverages are expensive so I say just find the free beverage dispenser and get drinks from there.Cosmic Bingo is back, for all of us not really into gambling. But otherwise, the casino floor looks pretty cool, very much like a small Vegas casino with all the bright lights and cool bars everywhere.

Kerrie C — Google review

The rooms are OK. They have been remodeled, but for the price, they should be giving you money to gamble with. Service is lackluster at best. To be honest, service at the hotel is more of a challenge than an amenity. For those who are new here, don't be a minute late checking out or you will be charged a $30 fee! For the money spent here, patrons should be catered to, not rushed out, ignored, and argued with. Literally every other Casino/Hotel I have visited and stayed at runs circles around this one in every conceivable way.

Christopher H — Google review

Overall cleanliness of the hotel was disappointing. At check in we found toe nail clippings on the night stand and floor. We asked housekeeping to clean this for us. They came to vacuum and did not clean off the night stand. We were not in the room when they completed the cleaning. The bedding was dirty and stained. We booked a golf course view and did not get a room with the view. We were told after check in that rooms were not guaranteed. The booking site should specify this.Overall, disappointed with our stay. Would advise others to look elsewhere or have low expectations.

First time going to this casino/ hotel. The hotel room was super nice, the atmosphere is fun, there is plenty to do here. I had an amazing time! My only complain is that, the bartenders at the bar closes to the hotel check in was very rude. She was not friendly at all when I asked if they had a drink menu and was rude about taking my order. Other than that, I can't wait to go back!

Mrdog — Google review

I know a lot of people here loved to smoke while playing their luck, and I respect that this was your place to do that, I but guess due to covid there are designated smoking areas now which might mean people have to go outside or walk over to a smoking area. So now if you don't smoke and want to go to the casino you don't go home smelling like cigarettes which is nice. The self serve coffee and fountain drinks area is still accessible. Not sure if any of the restaurant areas are open but I did see a staff member with a hot dog cart for 2$ a hot dog.

We went up for the Price is Right event. Had a blast. Hotel super clean and well run. Casino was very nice. I hit 2 jackpots while there for 4 nights. I never win so was more than happy. The show was packed but run very smoothly. No bad seat in the house.

Read google reviews before you drive here and search for bad ones. If you see any stay away! The good ones are absolute bologna. This place has a totally depressing atmosphere. So many unhappy faces ALWAYS in here. Nobody is winning big. Slots are so tight and vicious do not ever come here. We have lost the last 15 trips+ All of these positive comments are rubbish. Stay away and read google reviews before you drive here. If you see any recent bad ones you know to stay away and go somewhere else! Seriously beware! I hope your numbers suck and your paychecks are getting smaller mystic Lake.

First time in the auditorium and it is a fantastic venue. All the seats are great , even the back row, and comfortable. Sound system was excellent. Would love to see another show there!

I've been going to bingo there for 3 weeks since I get laid off for winter. The same guy wins at least 9 times every day. It takes all the fun out of it. He spends $1200 on his bingo machine because its unlimited. It's very disappointing to all of us normal players. He sits in the corner has red hair and glasses, if you see him there don't bother playing because you won't win. Today only 7 people besides him won, he took in $1700. I recommend trying a different bingo hall. I've talked to the management 3 times they said there's no help for us. I think he works for Mystic, and they get some of the money back. If you don't believe me just show up on a weekday afternoon session. He doesn't play on weekends so your luck might be better. Very disappointing 😞

The people and the services were great. Was there for a business convention.Minnesota does things differently. But my favorite part was the s3x of the beach with cream, like who would have guessed the combo is so delicious - thank you to the bartenders have 1 too many. Will definitely be back.

Enjoyed a 3 night stay for a birthday celebration. We got upgraded to a king suite and it was an amazing room. Staff is outstanding. Minus the cleaning staff she seemed bothered that we asked for clean towels.(room is not cleaned daily.) Main casino can be overwhelming with so many machines and people. Some people we found rude. Little Six casino right next door is much smaller. We ate dinner there and the food and waitstaff was fantastic. We were told to eat there vs the very expensive steak house in main casino. We were not disappointed. Also valet is free just tip. We will definitely stay again.

First time visiting this casino and I love it. Feels like you have a fair chance of winning. Girlfriend and I played for hours of slots then hit the steakhouse which was nice cause we were celebrating valentines day late! Food was fantastic service 10/10 definitely coming back!

Great stay, very nice rooms. I was very impressed with how clean and neat the whole complex was. Truly top of the line casino for Minnesota.Attended a conference and can say the same great things about the conference center as well.

Awful welcome from Valet. The items from the bell stand cart rolled off when the bell women unloaded it and I asked if she had touched the food that had fallen out of box. I was told I was rude by one big bald valet staff person that was standing there and when I tried to explain I didn’t mean to be rude but I couldn’t see from where I was standing, I touched the valet guy’s sweatshirt elbow briefly w the tip of my finger to build rapport instead he yelled at me three times over that “you do not touch people in public! Do you understand?” I apologized. The dinner at The Steakhouse was okay. Meal was good server didn’t offer specials. The suite was okay, mostly clean although the drawers and cabinets were nailed shut. The nightstands had small drawers so I cleaned them out before I could use them. The gambling was awful. Such tight payoffs no real bonus spins. For my birthday next year I will definitely not be spending time here, possibly not ever again because there is nothing to draw us back.

Parking sucks big time nobody Should have to walk that Far from their car to get into the casino. And the amount of time you spend looking for a spot is unbelievable. By the time I was done finding the spot, I was already ready to go.

Hotels usually make you put a $50 deposit down on your room with a credit card and it takes an extremely long time to get it back! Hotel always says that it's my bank that's holding it up but the only other person I've stayed at this hotel with doesn't share the same bank as I do and he also has complained about how long the time-frame is for getting your $50 back on your card or back into your checking account.

Melissa M — Google review

We were here for a company party and it was a wonderful experience! The event center is beautiful and has lots of room. If you're staying at the hotel, it's a faily long jaunt to the event center, so wear comfy shoes, otherwise it was a fantastic experience! The staff and bartenders at the event we went to were out of this world great! I'm not sure they were fully prepared for the group we were with, but the bar tenders did such an awesome job rolling with the punches and were super friendly too!In the hotel room there were nice littler perks which I liked. They have extra towels already in the room too!As far as the casino, I wish they still had some of the older games. Maybe an idea to have a retro room or something with only older games like Munsters and Mr. Lucky's fortune, etc. We did find a few interesting games, and we actually got to play for a while which was nice. Other casinos take your money right away which doesn't make it fun.Would I go here again? Absolutely! The hotel was great, the valet was wonderful, the staff were nice and accommodating, the event center was perfect and you for sure feel welcome coming here.

It’s our first time here and my daughter and I had so much fun playing slots. I guess we were just lucky that day to keep finding slot machines that gave bonuses. We didn’t win a lot but it was the fun that mattered. I like the beverage area (soda and coffee) where you don’t have to wait for the server. You can just get it yourself. There was also a “slot dog. ” It’s a cart with hotdog sandwiches that goes around the casino. I don’t know if they were free. Food at the restaurant and food court was good. It has a lounge in the middle of the casino with comfortable chairs. The bathrooms are very clean! Excellent customer service! I can’t comment on the hotel since we didn’t stay there overnight.

Went here for the GREATEST concert I have ever been to! I took my whole family to the 4th of July concert last year with the Gin Blossoms and Lit. The music was awesome, and the atmosphere was electric. We all had a blast celebrating the birthday of our great union, and there were even fireworks after the concert. Both bands played all their hits and did it in style and even did a song as one band! My sons got to meet some of the guys from the Gin Blossoms and took some pics and autographs! After the events of the night, we went into the casino and tried our hands at the slots, then went home. All around, the night was a huge win and success. Thank you, Mystic Lake Casino, for having us!

Theme Parks

Valleyfair Amusem*nt Park in Shakopee is a must-visit destination, spanning 125 acres and offering entertainment for visitors of all ages. Since its establishment in 1976, the park has expanded to feature over 75 rides, including eight roller coasters and Soak City water park.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. Simply put this place is a blast ever time I come here. They have all types of rides for everyone. Plenty of food drink and shanks. My fav ride is the wild thing!!!!! If you have never been here before then this place is a must to come check out!!!

Came here for opening water park weekend. We arrived when the park opened. It was really easy to find parking as the lot was mostly empty. Getting through the season ticket line was a little slow but we managed. They opened more lines as soon as we were called up to the window. Security was a breeze and we were off to the rides. We rode Northern Lights twice before they decided to shut it down for some reason. Steel venom also kept having issues as well. Hopefully they can iron out the kinks because it won't be a very good experience when the park is full during the summer.A number of my favorite places to eat were also closed. I would assume due to the early part of the season? Everything is really expensive. It's nice that the place is cashless but plan ahead. We did the season water bottle pass. It pays for itself very quickly on hot days.Though soak city was just opening nearly all the water slides were closed... disappointing. The kids really enjoyed the splash pad and wave pool though. Mad mouse or whatever it is called could use some major efficiency upgrades. Lots of waiting around on that one.The wave, carousel, antique cars, wild thing, eagle flying ride, and a few others all went off without a hitch. We'll be back. Hopefully they can iron out the problems for next time.

I really liked my first visit to Valleyfair. The park layout is a little odd, but my brother and I figured it out pretty quick. The place has great scenery, lots of plants, trees and there's a few coasters that really fit in their respective areas. Corkscrew over the water looks great. Wild Thing in the back, towering over everything. Valleyfair has a great energy. And their number one coaster, Renegade is awesome. One of the better GCIs for sure. Needs some smoothing in a couple spots, but other than that 10/10. High Roller, the park's other wooden roller coaster was also great. Nice force and air, while still being very smooth. Steel Venom was good, Wild Thing was bland, Corkscrew was also kinda bland. But I really enjoyed my visit, which was in the fall so it was pretty cold.Overall a super fun Cedar Fair park worth visiting!

Had a blast! It was a Valley Scare weekend. Great weather for this late in October. Highly recommend getting Fast Lane Passes. Little spendy but once you don't have to stand in line for a ride for 30-60 min it's well worth it. The Halloween theme rides and decked out park was excellent! Had more fun on the streets than in the scary houses. Overall Fantastic time!

Well I'm pretty sure we picked the hottest day of the year to go. Also one of the busiest days since it was very crowded. Parking went up since we haven't gone in a couple years. $20 for single day and $30 for single day preferred parking. A long wait in line for popular rides, typically 40 minutes to 1 hour. Waiting in line 40+ minutes to order cheese curds and a turkey leg is not ideal. Soak City Water park was packed with barely any room to move around. Snoopy is fun for younger kids to enjoy the rides. Being here open to close isn't enough time to enjoy everything because you spend most of your time waiting in line. Be prepared to do a lot of walking.

Rachael Z — Google review

There are rides for all ages, a variety of food options, and different package options to choose from as well. There is Caribou Coffee, Auntie Anne's, and Panda Express. I had a pretzel from Auntie Anne's and it was by far the best pretzel I have had. It was fresh and buttery. The employees were so courteous, kind, and helpful. Of course, many different restaurants as well. Lines go pretty quick, and there are plenty of shades throughout the park, even when waiting to get into your ride.

It can be expensive but there's lots of ways to make it enjoyable and save money. Buy your tickets ahead of time. They're about 1/2 price online. If you're a Sam's member, they're even cheaper. Go on a weekday, preferably Monday. You'll spend almost all your time standing in line if you go on a weekend. Pack a lunch and keep it in your car. You can get a ticket to come back in. Bring a bottle of water and refill it inside. Drink lots of water and skip the overpriced sugary drinks. I took my kids there for the first time. My parents took us there a few times 30+ years ago when I was a kid. It's really cool riding some of the same rides my dad rode with me when I was a kid. It's no Disney World, but it's as close as you'll get in the Midwest.

This park was a neat little find! I loved the tricks or treats atmosphere that just made it fun and family friendly. The decor was lovely and the shows were very entertaining! I took away a star because not all the Rollercoaster were running that day. The food could use some upgrading but for what they had it was pretty good. Definitely worth a visit with your Littles to trick or treat and do activities. 🧡🎃

Halloween themed weekends in Sept/Oct: great! 0-5min lines for rides, no heat, plus fun freebies for kids (candy trick or treating, costume contest, paint by number wall, etc). All water areas are closed for the season as well as some other rides. The fear rises are open, the majority! Definitely don't miss the ball factory in Snoopy's area right by the entrance after the monster ride. See photos. Kids can play here for hours while you parents relax a minute! Do know that everything is an extra charge however, arcade games, slime station, and of course all food/drinks.Still, fabulous fun and best way to get on rides with short waits.Tickets: get them online and search for a Groupon or other preseason deal. You shouldn't end up paying more than $30/person. And preschoolers can be free if you apply for that online ahead of time.Enjoy! There's lots of great themed entertainment and music everywhere too.

Kathryn H — Google review

First time here and I enjoyed it! It may not be Disney World or Universal Studies, but it’s still great to have a theme park in our back yard. There’s several ride we can try out, games to play, food (especially donuts, candies and funnel cake!) and several different attractions to entertain ourselves. I honestly look forward to going again!

Ahkeel P — Google review

The crew was very friendly and courtesy. Made great memories and the highlight of the summer. The park was very clean and the lines short. Great way to spend on a day off. Definitely be back next summer if not before. Buy tickets on line to avoid delay when you arrive. They do not take cash so card only. Have fun!

Karin B — Google review

Valleyfair is older and in places it certainly shows in places like some of their food buildings but the important and safety conscious bits like rides they take strong care of. They have an incredible health care team so don't worry if you need a band-aid. You just have to find the buildings. They do have stations to fill up water bottles so bring them! The parking lot is pretty bad.

Tiffany R — Google review

Fun for all ages, there's even rides for little kids. For some reason tickets online are way cheaper than paying at the gate. If you are going on busy days, fast pass would be good if you don't want to wait in line for an hour. Food & drinks are expensive! You can always re-enter so if you wanna save some money you can bring your own food from home and leave it in a cooler in the car. Kids are going to be super tired so strollers and trolleys would be really handy 😃

Tenzin T — Google review

This was the highlight of my kid's summer vacation! Highly recommend going during the week and during the State Fair so lines are shorter. Bought 2 premium meal plans for 6 people and ate every 90 minutes. Drink refills every 15 minutes. Water park was a hit and the wave pool. Be sure kids are 48" or options for rides are more limited. Stayed until it closed at 10pm.

Katie B — Google review

This is a biased rating because I used to travel the country visiting amusem*nt parks and riding rollercoasters. I'll try to be even and fair.I took my neighbor kids because I wanted to see what valleyfair! had morphed into since I hadn't been there in 10 years, I'll start with the positives:-They kids had fun, I did too-There weren't a lot of people there so that meant we didn't have to wait long to ride the rides. 10-15 minutes max.-they built up the park by adding more rides(mostly kiddy rides) and removing some of the less popular rides.-they improved some of the rollercoasters so that they ride better and lessened the braking to provide more speed.Ex: high roller used to be so so slow with so much braking(unless that's my perception after visiting other parks much larger than vf).I actually enjoyed riding the rides I hadn't wasted time on in the years of my rollercoaster days. As I said, we had fun.The negatives:-I fully understand that the park has to pay for their rides and upgrades, but, C'mon!, $25 to park, but, $40 admission fee for 60% of the rides? However, They haven't upgraded the type of ride that all parks know they must have to get people in the door or to come back again again and again, rollercoasters!! They appear to be so focused on making this a kiddy/family park that they are pushing away the thrill seekers around the world who are willing to spend big money on airfare, road trips, hotels, souvenirs, food and drink etc. Those people are repeat visitors who love big rides.-They discontinued their share of the billion dollar Halloween business in "ValleyScare!" In favor of the kiddy/family park version. This is a huge waste of an opportunity that most other parks are taking advantage of.-There is not a cheap "game of chance"(what parent wants to spend big dollars for their kids to learn to play a game that the kids don't even stand a chance at winning?), -Every game is $5 or more to play.-Their food portions are small and the price is huge(that's why so many families bring coolers with food in their vehicles or have pizzas or door dash delivered to them). Pricing your food at more affordable levels gives customers a reason to buy your food).-Lack of aesthetic landscaping(colorful flowers and theming), this park is blah. More Kings Island please. There is Halloween theming all over, though. Conclusion: Please let me be clear, I WANT a park that I can be proud to call my park, to be able to brag about and not make excuses for, and to scream from the rooftops how great their thrill rides are. I realize that I've been ruined by all the parks out there that actually "get it". It's surprising to me that Cedarfair doesn't get it since they have their flagship park, Cedarpoint, which has 18 world class rollercoasters and averages 3-4 million visitors per year. If building up Valleyfair causes them fear that they are leeching business from CP, they shouldn't be, Six Flags(Great America)is already doing it with their emphasis on adding more coasters over the last ten years to 16 or 17. Building up Valleyfair will actually leech business from Six Flags and provide a rectangle of CF parks to road trip; VF to Worlds of Fun to Kings Island to CP to Michigan s Adventure and then throw in any other parks along the way. That is a recipe for success as long as you build up every park with great coasters. I suggest an inverted first, then a bigger RMC like, El Toro, and then work your way up. Give thrill seekers a reason to come here.I warned you about my being biased. For families with little kids, your kids will have fun and you will need lots of money. For thrill seekers, Renegade, WildThing, Steel Venom is all you got. My advice is to drive the 6 hours to Six Flags.Decide for yourself, but you should give Valleyfair at least one chance to earn your next visit. For Valleyfair, don't we deserve better here in Minnesota? Please give us more coasters!

Scott F — Google review

This is a great little park. Very clean and well taken care of. Plenty of parking and the lot is well lit. They have lots of great rides. Plenty of food to choose from. There's alot of little shops with merchandise from the park. Had a problem with my drink pass it was handle quickly. The staff is great!

Angie K — Google review

This was my first vist to the park. They do not accept cash at any of the facilities. If you want any adult beverages make sure you have an ID regardless of your age. They have to scan your ID to sell adult beverages. The park has a lot of options for adults and children alike. I recommend looking into buying online tickets for both the park, parking, and food prior to the visit. You will definitely save more money.

Shannon P — Google review

What a great park! On the smaller side for a Cedar Fair park, and only one real coaster that wows (Wild Thing) but it's a great atmosphere with lots of above-average rides. I managed to do everything I wanted (which didn't include the water park) between rope drop and 4 in the afternoon. I left for a couple of hours, came back in the hour before the water park closed to ride the one slide I was interested in, and spent the rest of the evening enjoying carnival parade and food and a few repeat rides. It's a very weirdly-shaped park, with lots of dead-end corners. Make sure you make your way back to Thunder Canyon and Excalibur past the water park. This area has more limited hours but the ride ops back here are...something special. I wish the ops on Wild Thing had half their sense of fun!I will say, food prep decently priced, but *horribly* managed. I went to the chicken shack and the system is just abysmal. It's up to the poor one girl working the register to keep up with what's needed out of the back kitchen - they really were shockingly slow all day. (The rest of the Carnivale food booths are better.) As for the parade, it's a lot of fun, but for most of the route, the sun is directly behind the performers, which makes it hard to take good pictures. For better shots, try for the stretch from the entrance to the main stage where it ends, or at the very beginning near Xtreme Swing, when it comes around the corner.

The Minneapolis Institute of Art is an expansive and impressive art museum that covers 5,000 years of world history in its vast collection. Spanning a wide range of styles and disciplines, the MIA is home to some of the most iconic pieces in American and international art. With exhibitions constantly rotating and a vast traveling collection, the MIA is a must-see for anyone interested in fine arts.

Amazing Museum. Love the interactive rooms and the variety of art pieces from around the world. They’re amazing about Covid-19 precautions and so be sure to bring your vaccination card or proof of vaccination and be kind to those who are working their asking for them. Food/Cafe is up and running there. Staff that work there were amazing and helpful. And IT IS OPEN UNTIL 9PM. Can we all just appreciate that? 9 PM!! Good job MIA.

Incredible, huge, three-story, free art museum with ongoing exhibits as well as various rotating and traveling special exhibits that have a fee (however, those exhibits usually offer free days as well). I have spent many hours over many days over many years and yet I STILL haven't seen everything even in the ongoing exhibits. You should make a reservation for tickets for special events but usually you can walk-in and still get a ticket, even for those. They have a fun, free Family Day event the second weekend of every month with fun activities and a take-home tote. You can also get a free or paid membership (different levels have different benefits). Definitely donate if you can as well, to help support the museum. There is a gift shop as well as a couple restaurants on site. They offer a free coat check and self-service lockers, which is great for winter when you don't want to lug your coat around. The museum is located on the bus route and there is free on-street and some paid parking lots available. Sometimes they offer free shuttles as well. The museum is accessible with ramps and elevators and offer free wheelchairs for use (which was so helpful when I was there while on crutches). We love the fun, family-friendly Rock the Cradle event they host with the Children's Theatre Company in March and the beautiful Art in Bloom event in the spring.

Samara B — Google review

An incredible experience, and FREE!? My only regret is only leaving myself an hour to explore. There's two floors of beautiful art. You could spend a whole day immersed, easily.

Rebecca S — Google review

One of the greatest museums in Minnesota. The admission is free, you pay only if you want to go to the special exhibitions (that change from time to time). Special attention o the historical exhibitions from Asia, Pacific Islands and Africa. Plan ahead to start the for at least 4 hours to see most of the things. The restrooms have changing stations. Some times it is difficult to find parking spots close to the main building

Igor P — Google review

It’s been years since I’ve been to the art museum. And having worked and lived abroad in China for more than 10 years, I was curious to revisit the Chinese collection in the Asia exhibition hall. My goodness! I spent half a day and didn’t even get see everything. Need not to mention the other halls in the entire museum. 3 floors worth of pieces from all over the world. You will find something that will excite you. Seriously, I could spend days here. Anyway, admission is free but a donation is highly recommended. There is paid parking next door but if you come early, there’s free street parking. Without a doubt, I shall have to visit again!

Meng X — Google review

Blessing that this museum is free entry (except for special exhibitions) and delivers a high quality experience nonetheless. Some really cool exhibits across European, Asian, African and American art that can take up multiple days to fully explore. Worth a visit while you’re in Minneapolis!

Rovik R — Google review

I have always loved the MIA since I was a small child. It's a place for all-ages. It has new galleries pretty frequently. There is a nice sensory-friendly area on the first floor for young children and families. It's a bit more quiet and less brightly lit. There are plenty of seats, bathrooms, and fun things to touch and / or play with; i.e., a chessboard, books, and the wall is textured. My favorite part of the whole trip was visiting the area of photographs entitled: The last safe abortion. The importance of Roe V Wade is highlighted in this piece, which recognizes and honors abortion work in this large photographic body of work from the Midwest. The visual storytelling of this piece shows people answering phones, holding training sessions, scheduling appointments, and handling logistics.Another fun exhibit is The Staff Art Show. I enjoyed the diverse variety of artwork in its different forms in this area. From everything to a mirror, to zines, and objects that the artist's children have discarded, there is something for everyone. The newest exhibit is In Our Hands Native Photography 1890 to now. The exhibit is visually attractive, and worth exploring. It was a bit crowded, because it's newer, but it was enjoyable.

Felix P — Google review

What a gem in the heart of Minneapolis. This art institute is great for families. There is plenty of room and art for everyone. They even display local children’s artwork. They offer a family center just for kids and a cafe with goodies! Plus, it’s FREE!! Check our calendar for kids events.

Absolutely insanely amazing... Literally filled with wonders. The Mia is huge and has an INCREDIBLE amount of wonderful art. I was there 3 hours and didn't even get through one floor. I think I spent two hours just in the Asia exhibits and I didn't even see everything in there. Time flies by when there's so much to get immersed in. I think it would take me days to truly appreciate all of the art.If you like to sketch, definitely bring your materials! I had a blast :DAnd Mia is completely free!!! (Although everyone should make a donation to this wonderful place). I would put this at the top of the to-do list when in the Twin Cities. Hopefully I'm back in Minneapolis soon so I can designate a few full days to the Mia:)The facilities were very clean and there is plenty of room to social distance even with a good amount of people visiting (I was there on a Wednesday 11am-2pm). Lovely staff as well and they do have a self-service coat check with lockers. As of 4/27/22, masks are optional although many guests still masking when I was there:)Very accessible by bus too!

Stella C — Google review

Spent a day at MIA and was very impressed by the beautiful art on display. Works by many masters are on display as well as regional artists. Too much to see for a one day visit. Will definitely be back to finish our exploration. We went on a Saturday and we never felt rushed or crowded. Entry was free, but we did pay to see the Latin America exhibition.

Eric G — Google review

Even if there were a reasonable entry fee I'd have given this museum five stars. The fact that it was free was icing on the cake.Lots of exhibits from various periods and geographies made for an excellent family friendly cultural experience.

Zac C — Google review

I've been to quite a few art museums, and I think this one is the most underrated one. Solid collection all the way around, including really good Native American art and Japanese art collections. It's also free, so anyone can enjoy it. If you're bored in the Twin Cities, this is one of the best places to visit to curb that boredom.

Miles S — Google review

We visited the "In Our Hands" exhibit and it was so lovely. Thrilled to have been able to take in this stunning collection of Native art. The curation was top notch and gave us a wonderful spectrum of media, stories, and emotions. Grateful to have been able to spend time amongst these pieces!

T G — Google review

I have lived in a Minneapolis suburb for a lot of my life but have never visited. I was driving right past on a weekday after a meeting had ended sooner than expected, there was a parking spot right in front, and so I decided to take a quick tour.Beautiful museum with a number of really interesting pieces. Easily worth a visit and worth more than the little time I afforded it.

Khalid K — Google review

This is honestly one of my most fav places to go to when I just need that feeling of reconnecting to the past. I feel more in one with our past history than I do today, so a lot like nature. I feel this has become an escape for me with my daughter. Just be very careful not to TOUCH anything. I was admiring the wood to one of the openings to an entrance and was tempted to lightly graze my fingers across it, and I did get redirected, but I understood. Highly recommend for kids and adults.

Layla M — Google review

What I love about this free museum is it never seems busy, just because there is so much to explore and people spread out. There's so much more there than just typical paintings on the wall. You have Period Rooms start up to immerse you into the culture and settings that created those pieces. There is furniture and important functional and artistic designs to lamps and kitchen gadgets even. The arrangement by region is wonderful and let's you step through worlds. Definitely a spot to both come with others or alone.

Bexs N — Google review

MIA is a beautiful museum that is free to the public. It has a parking ramp for easy parking ($7 for the first two hours and an additional $1/hr after the initial two hrs) if you don't want the hassle of finding street parking. The building is shared with Children's Theater, which is a great place to catch a show if you have young ones. MIA has multiple floors to explore (stairs and elevators to choose from) with multiple restrooms (that are clean) on each floor for convenience. They also have a little cafe with tables and a little shop on the first floor. In my opinion, this museum is far superior in content than The Walker.

A P — Google review

Such a great collection! What a welcoming place for tourists, the community and world. Experiencing the building's architecture is worth a visit alone. The admission was free! How fortunate we are to have not only these works to enjoy, but that they're incorporated into the preservation of historic architecture. It's so accessible and easily located.

Amazing art and cultural exhibits. Take a walk through history but make sure you have plenty of time. It has a way of mesmerizing you while the hours just disappear.

Jeremy R — Google review

Amazing place and so much amazing art to see. If anyone plans on going make it an all day trip. My family and I were there 3 hours and didn't get to see everything cause we ran out of time. From what I understand it's free to enter, but have to pay for special events, it's worth it. We went to see the Chinese Ritual Bronzes.

April A — Google review

Amazing museum with tons space to wander. Art from all over the world and through the centuries. Got lost a few times and had to back track a bit. They are open till 9 some nights which is unusual for a museum and I wholeheartedly approve. Go wander and have fun!! Best of all it’s free!

Keven S — Google review

This was a neat museum and a nice way to spend a few hours, especially that it was free. The galleries are well put together with enough information about the pieces to learn about them. The hidden office of the museum curator that disappeared was super wild.

Tim G — Google review

Amazing experience, a large museum with a amazing array of art! There’s something for everyone, but art lovers will especially enjoy it. Another plus is that it’s completely free, only fee you might have to pay is for parking.

Alex S — Google review

I enjoyed visiting the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) and free admission makes my experience even better. The exhibits and artwork were interesting to look at and there was so much stuff to see. The prairie school-themed exhibit was especially my favorite out of all exhibits. But all exhibits were great.

Travis T — Google review

Really enjoyed visiting this MIA. It was a mix of an art museum and historical museum. Very unique the way they displayed various statues, sculptures, artifacts, & mediums of artwork. I liked the themed rooms from different regions. There is a cute cafe inside of the building as well. FREE admission as well!!! We went on a Saturday when there were no special exhibits being showcased, which is the only time there would be an entrance fee. Family friendly place. There’s even a children’s section in it. I would highly recommend coming here if you’re new to Minneapolis and looking for a staple spot to come visit!

Alena B — Google review

MIA is such an amazing museum. There is SO much to look at. My favorite artist is Georgia O’Keeffe and one thing on my tiny bucket list was to see a real Georgia O’Keeffe painting in person, and I discovered from their website that they had 1 on display. Well, they, in fact, have 3!!! I was so excited. I think they may have 4, but my son took me, and we found 3 on the 3rd floor. There is SO much to see, and it took us like 2 hours to just look around the 3rd floor, so we determined that we would do 1 floor at a time in order to see everything on each floor and take it all in. There is on street parking or there is a little pay parking lot across the street which is what we did. It is free admission to look at the general displays. If there is a special exhibit, then there would be an admission cost.

Kim C — Google review

Amazing I enjoy it a lot. You will love it if you are an art enthusiast. Closest museum I’ve been to compared to the louvre in Paris. Definitely a must if you are staying in Boston.

90milestomiami — Google review

An absolutely amazing art museum and a must see of Minneapolis. I visited on a Sunday morning which had significantly less crowds than I was expecting. Entry was quick and easy, the entrance was for free (which I’m not sure if it’s a recurring thing). It was very easy to navigate around the museum due to the signage and provided maps. I especially like that there is a list of must sees on the back of the map for those who only have a short amount of time to visit like I did. The layout is easy to navigate and separated in distinct periods that makes sense, nothing detracts from the pieces themselves, and it's overall an amazing experience. I can't wait to revisit with plenty of time to thoroughly explore all the exhibits.

The Mill City Museum is a fascinating history museum located in the ruins of an old flour mill on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis. It tells the story of Minneapolis from its beginnings as a small settlement on the banks of the river to its present status as one of America's most thriving and culturally vibrant cities. The museum contains a wide range of exhibits on its industrious past, including artifacts and artworks from that era.

Wonderful museum and staff. I have been twice now and the tours were both a little different and my mother enjoyed it a lot. The flour tower elevator tour to start is a step back in time. Then going up to the 8th & 9th floor for a better view of the ruins and the Mississippi is breathtaking. Beautiful in the winter, and outstanding in the summer, when you can go out on the observation deck. Don't forget to walk around the museum after and read all the interesting facts and artifacts all over.

Rachel F — Google review

This museum was very informative and hands-on! I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits, the elevator mill show, and the staff were friendly do a great job! The elevator show was shared with a school class that was obnoxious but still enjoyed the show. The water table lab was so fun for the kids. The "baking" lab was neat, and we got to make flour. They also had a sample of a baked short bread. How fun to learn more about Minneapolis and the flour milling industry. I highly recommend this museum for families. The tickets are reasonably priced.

Linda M — Google review

A beautiful museum. My favorite part was the “flour tower” elevator ride that not only showed off the timeline of the museum, but also simulated some of the big movements and disasters. It ends with a great view of the city from the observation deck. The ruins are picturesque, as well.

Little L — Google review

This is a wonderful museum that allows you an opportunity to look into the past of the mighty milling industry that once was of Minneapolis. If you are strapped for time, it is easy to get through everything in a couple of hours or you can take your time. The highlight of the tour is definitely the Flour Tower and the top observation deck.

I moved to Minneapolis from Boston 2 months ago. Having lived in New England the last two years, Minneapolis and the Midwest is a big change for me. Tbh, I didn’t like it at all. But the visit to this museum completely changed my opinion, especially after a conversation with Fred (one among the many amazing docents). The entire museum is a quick cover (2-3 hours), but extremely informative on the birth, history, people of Minnesota (mostly Minneapolis) in a humorous, fun, and empathetic manner. Extremely worth it!Don’t miss: Elevator ride, water bar, the 20 minute movie.Fun fact from Fred: New Lowell was one of the city names considered before Minneapolis was chosen, to acknowledge the help of the textile industry of Lowell, Massachusetts in setting up the water channels in the Mississippi for generating power to run the mills.

Very fun interactive museum. Some great history to learn, but will definitely be going back at a quieter time to look more fully as the Friday we went there was a couple busloads of school children.

Jana L — Google review

This is a children-centered small museum with fantastic views of the river from the observation deck on the 9th floor. There are many displays with good explanations. There is a children's water play table where they can dam up rivers to run turbines. It also had a nice outdoor space to eat.

Alan C — Google review

Super cool space to learn more about something we all have, flour! My kids loved the interactive exhibits. The water lab was a special favorite. Make sure to go up to the very top!! Incredible place!

Jannean M — Google review

I've always loved this place! I started bringing my daughter when she was 3 years old, now she's 19 and still had fun. I'm allegedly an adult, but I still had fun playing in the water tables. Definitely recommend it. The views from the observation deck are with the price of admission, make it a day trip across the bridge and take time to check out the ruins.

Mindy O — Google review

This was a FASCINATING and extraordinary museum! I kept wanting to know more about how the machines worked, feel what the working conditions were like, etc. This was a “quick” museum (3 hours max) with lots for kids. The views of the mill, stone arch bridge, city… breathtaking! Definitely a must see. Also the eatery inside was outstanding. A few exhibits were too elaborate to be educational, like the giant water table “for kids” of all ages. Some smaller more hands-on all-ages things to see, taste, touch, and smell would have been great. Bins where you could touch and feel the grains run through your fingers, sample what they tasted like, etc. lots of great information to read on the plaques that I hope can be brought to other input experiences, too. I think this museum will improve greatly over time. Please visit and support them today! Note: I visited on a weekday, but between Christmas and New Year’s Day. There was a lot of space, but I can’t guess what a “typical” day would have been like in terms of crowd levels.

Laura S — Google review

Great museum. Friendly staff. For a little extra fun, park on the other side of the river and walk across the Stone Arch Bridge (about a half mile each way).

Russell M — Google review

This is a great museum. It's really well laid out with a lot of information and some interactive exhibits for kids. Definitely worth the visit, especially for the low ticket price. I learned a lot about the history of Minneapolis and the mills.

Joe M — Google review

This place was very interesting. I learned so much about the history of Minneapolis in addition to milling. I had children with me from ages 2-9 and they were all engaged by tour and many of the displays. They loved the room with all the water tables were you could dam up water or guide logs down the river or rebuild the buildings on the banks Minneapolis. We happened to be there when they did a demo of the explosion that happened there in the late 1800s and my kids thought that was neat. I loved the view from top of the mill. Definitely glad I came here and would recommend it to anyone especially if live in Minnesota. However one of my kids commented how you didn't get to see any flour being milled.... which it would be cool if they had one of the old machines running or just something small that was milling wheat to flour to give kids an idea how that process looks. There are old machines that are on display and there are some cranks you can turn to move gears on some displays but no actual flour being made.

Gayle S — Google review

Definitely worth the $12 admission to the museum portion! It’s much more than just a regular museum. Very interactive with a storytelling freight elevator tour with views from the top of the building. Very knowledgeable workers who don’t bore. Everything they said was interesting and all of the regular museum displays hold your interest. Wonderful gift shop as well!

Olivia V — Google review

Mill City museum really exceeded my expectations. The museum was filled with fascinating information in video and exhibit turn which is pretty expected, however there is a really cool introduction movie and the elevator show was fantastic. Also the view at the top of the museum is exceptional. Highly recommended.

J — Google review

What a fun, educational adventure!Low cost entry fee. Lots of fun history to look at. I loved the flour tower elevator ride and getting to go to the observation deck. What a beautiful view of the city!

KJ G — Google review

This is a must visit museum if you are visiting from out of town. It walks you through the overall history of Minneapolis, why it was essential to be built next to to St Anthony falls, and how the city grew and faded with the Mississippi River. The museum is so well put together bringing both milling and water harnessing to the core, intermixed with history and the development of the city. You'll absolutely love the Flour Tower exhibit. Won't spoil it for you.If you have kids, highly recommend spending a solid 2 hours or more at this brilliant museum. Also given its strategic location next to the river, it is awesome to combo it with the river-side walk.

Wook C — Google review

We were up for a weekend in March & went to the Sat am farmers market. They had something for everyone. Very cool neat place! Would go back & explore when it's warmer.

Amy M — Google review

Great local museum with fun activities for kids and adults. Be sure to save time for the flour tower to hear about the history of the space and see the views of the city!

Nathan B — Google review

Great experience and very educational. Learned a great deal about the mill and its history. As well as about the greater Minneapolis area. See the movie!! Plays ever 30 min or so.

Mike I — Google review

The reviews don't lie, this was such a fun and unique museum and I'm so glad we made time to visit! Do **not** under any circ*mstances miss the short movie about the city - it was SO good and funny, and my husband and I were literally laughing out loud multiple times during the video and we immediately pulled up and listened to more from Kevin Kling on our drive home. Don't skip the elevator ride/tour, that was informative and our guide was great -an older gentleman who was a local to the area. We went on a Saturday and watched a pie demonstration, went up to see the great view across the river, and learned a lot about the lumber industry and deforestation of the land, in addition to the flour milling history! Well worth the visit!

Kailey P — Google review

The tour is self guided and the building itself is something to behold. We are in our mid-50's and were there without children, but I was really surprised to see so many interactive rooms for the families and young people there. There was even a big group of boy scouts- and their enthusiasm was contagious.

Deanna W — Google review

Do the Flour Tour!! A fun, creative way to tell the history of the building and area. Good for all ages. And the view from the observation deck is beautiful. Also take the time to walk around the river as well.

Rhiannon T — Google review

Excellent exhibit and shows! Highly recommended for all ages! We came on New Year’s Eve and learned so much about the culture and history of Minneapolis! The elevator show is the best! We truly enjoyed it!For travelers, the museum has three large lockers, and each could fit two (2) carry-on luggage’s. We checked in our luggages while visiting the museum and also the bridge near by.Best museum In Minneapolis!

Park

Sights & Landmarks

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a popular tourist attraction with amazing sculptures by famous artists. It's located next to the Walker Art Center and Loring Park, and is open 365 days a year.

It's so fun to walk around and see such interesting works of art. Although museums are unique experiences of their own, being in and around large artwork is just a whole new way to appreciate the art world. I had to do a project on the piece Untitled by Jim Hodges - which is the sculpture made up of 4 boulders that have been faced with colored steel inlays. It blew my mind reading the background of the piece and how it ended up in the walker, so I highly recommend looking into it if you visit!

Amaya N — Google review

Awesome sculpture garden. Stay a while - Listen to the church bell in the distance. The park was clean and everyone was very friendly. If the food truck owners raise their prices of bottled water...it was completely my fault. $1.60 is entirely too inexpensive for a tourist area. I said to charge $3-4 and thanked them for such affordable bottles. You may get lucky and find an art festival in the neighboring park on a Saturday. A must visit while in town.

Katie S — Google review

It's a great place to go for a walk and admire the sculptures. I'm not that into art, but it was worth going here. Kids were making their own sculptures ⛄️ ☃️(snowmen), which is modern, compared to the sculptures made by artists in the last century. People were friendly in the park. It's better to go in summer.

ILAKIYA — Google review

This sculpture garden is not only pretty but fun with some of the quirky art. There are level, paved walks that lead you around to each piece of art and its description. There is a paid car park conveniently next to it. If you find yourself in town, take an hour to check it out.

Britt D — Google review

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden offers a splendid fusion of art and nature, making it a must-visit destination for both art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. This expansive outdoor gallery, beautifully situated near downtown Minneapolis, features an impressive array of sculptures by renowned artists, spread across a well-manicured landscape that invites leisurely strolls and contemplative pauses.A highlight of the garden is the iconic "Spoonbridge and Cherry" sculpture, which serves as a whimsical centerpiece and a perfect backdrop for photos. The garden’s layout encourages exploration, with each turn presenting a new piece of art elegantly integrated with the natural surroundings.Accessibility is excellent, with clear paths and informative plaques that provide insights into each artwork. Visiting in different seasons offers unique perspectives of the art pieces amidst changing colors and atmospheres, with the lush greens of summer and the striking snow contrasts in winter being particularly memorable. For anyone visiting Minneapolis, a stop at the Sculpture Garden is highly recommended for a peaceful break from the urban rush, offering a serene and inspiring experience that celebrates the harmonious blend of art and the environment.

Akshaya B — Google review

I love this place during the warm season! The cherry is, of course, iconic and a Minneapolis staple! This is a fun place for family, friends, individuals, residents, and tourists alike. There's something for everyone to enjoy. Go check out the interior of The Walker as well! The sculpture garden is free to the public.

Felix P — Google review

Fun to walk through and see the art. It was cold so we were not able to hang out too long. Creative and incredible artwork. The bridge was especially impressive.

Jon W — Google review

This sculpture garden is really beautiful. It's a great place for families. friends, dates and singles. And it's free! But I urge you to make a donation. There are so many displays of amazing art. If you go online to their website, they have information about each art piece and some fun games. The weather was perfect on the day I visited so I was able to leisurely stroll the garden and take some awesome pictures. They do have a Cafe but I had eaten breakfast right before I went.

ABSOLUTELY love bringing my littles here. So much positive energy is in this place. One of our top choices close to home, they choose it almost every time for our evening walk. For all ages. Just brings such positive vibes to all. Lost to look at, & lots to read. Beautiful views. Friendly people. If you ever need a family photo done. Don’t be afraid to ask for assistance from others! They are so friendly, and willing to help you and yours.Just a great neighbor, lots to do and lots to look at🙃I hope you choose to go there and have a great experience like we do!

What a unique experience in the heart of the city. From abstract sculptures to poetry, the sculpture garden offers a beautiful walking tour through a quaint city park. Great stop for short visits!

Very cool place! I love the art and the park itself! love taking people there!I recently visited the Sculpture Garden in the Twin Cities and was truly impressed by the artworks and atmosphere. The diverse collection showcased a perfect blend of creativity and skill, making it a delightful experience. The well-maintained surroundings added to the overall charm, creating a wonderful escape within the city. I highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking a blend of art and nature.

If you're looking to do something different in Minneapolis, then consider city sightseeing. The sculpture garden park is strategically carved out of an area that is surrounded by buildings and residential structures that any local or visitor would gravitate to on any given day.It features sculptures from sculptors from around the world. Check it out!

Eman G — Google review

What a nice garden to walk around with lots of incredible sculptures in it. This is located right in front of Walker Art Center. There is a bridge that connects this Garden and Loring Park.I loved every single sculptures I saw here but due to about 10 inches snow I couldn't completely enjoy my visit. I highly recommend to wear winter boots during winter time.I took lots of nice photos here. Definitely, beautiful photo spot in Minneapolis which was very easy to access from my hotel in downtown of Minneapolis.

AMY M — Google review

Large modern sculpture park with a mix of small, large, good, and lame pieces. The cherry on the spoon is worth the trip all by itself. Adequate parking available.

Joe A — Google review

Such a cool place! One of my favorite experiences that I had on my 4 day trip to Minneapolis. It had even more art than I had imagined, and was a great precursor to visiting the Minneapolis Institute of Art. One of the best all around, family friendly places I've been to in all of my travels. Would totally come back on another visit to Minneapolis!

Emily C — Google review

Worth a visit while in Minneapolis. I was surprised at how many sculptures were in the area and that it was completely free to visit. We paid for parking since we weren’t familiar with the area but it sounds like there is free street parking in the area as well. There is something for all ages. The iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry was our favorite! 🍒

Bri H — Google review

Super cool sculptures! Our favorite one was the Spoonbridge and Cherry !land the blue rooster 🐓Not sure if you can just sit anywhere around the sculptures to picnic but there is a designated seating area by the parking lot for that that also provides shade. There’s also a bridge that connects that Sculpture Garden with another stunning park and pond on the other side of the road. It’s very clean, visitors are respectful of each other

Izamar A — Google review

Super cool. Definitely want to see it in the spring or summer time. Needs more art though. The Cherry spoon is definitely the highlight. Would love to see blocks on the trail way of different art to walk along to the next big sculpture. Beautiful place to take your Dog on a walk and the area is very well kept up. Got to see a rare Black squirrel too! There is also a cool bridge to cross over the highway and continues to yet another beautiful park.

J K — Google review

How can you not adore the Sculpture Garden?! Besides being free, it is a fantastic place to enjoy art...right on the edge of downtown. The grounds are well-cared for and bloom with flora and fauna in warmer months. The sculptures are also well-maintained and allow you to get right up to them for the best viewing. You can't beat the cityscape views from the garden either. The Minneapolis downtown is literally right next door. Also next door is the Walker Art Center, making a double-stop almost a must-do. Not too far of a walk away is also the Minneapolis Institute of Art. The garden is open year-round. Due to location, there is no free parking but, the pay lot at the Walker is reasonably priced, especially if you're hitting more than one location while in the area. This is a gem in our city and we will always be back and brag it up!

Starlette S — Google review

The garden was redesigned and refreshed in the mid 2010s. If you haven't visited since then, I recommend going. The new portion on the hill next to the Walker has a zigzagging path, a grove of chalk maples, and offers some nice views of the park and the Minneapolis skyline beyond. A day off school and beautiful fall weather made for a memorable outing for our family.

Daniel F — Google review

This was a really cool free walk around when we were visiting Minneapolis recently. On a nice day bring a picnic. I would wait a few weeks as the plants were somewhat dormant still.

Nicole S — Google review

We got to check it out later in the day, and it was really pretty and the moon was popping out! I really enjoyed walking around and learning about the different sculptures. Parking wasn’t hard to find, and there was people there, but not too many where it was crowded or hard to walk around and see the sculptures.

Ann H — Google review

Beautiful garden, gentle walking paths, art pieces were spaced nicely to allow photos. Obviously a popular spot on a day with nice weather but not so crowded as to interrupt personal enjoyment of the space. Bathrooms and food trucks available. It was $6 to park in a parking garage. Take your time and enjoy the variety of art pieces.

Stadium

Fun & Games

The new and modern stadium of the Minnesota Twins offers an amazing fan experience with a guided tour that takes you to parts of the stadium that are rarely seen by regular visitors.

Beautiful baseball stadium tucked away in downtown Minneapolis. The staff is always friendly and the views are always scenic. True baseball fans will appreciate being able to catch both starting pitchers warm up simultaneously. Lots of little restaurants and bars to catch some good food and drinks at. The state fair mini donuts, walleye and cheese curds are a must. The stadium also features a lot of standing room areas to catch the game from. Also, the team store is magnificent. They have anything a Twins fan could want or someone just looking for a souvenir. Plenty of parking around the stadium. If you're traveling from the south you can take the Metro Transit blue line from Mall of America for just $2 a ride. Its about a 40-minute ride but it beats driving downtown. Not sure if it's a good nighttime option, due to unsavory characters along the route that may board the train.

Kaleb H — Google review

Visited this stadium for red sox vs twins game. It’s a huge stadium and very close to downtown so easily accessible by walk. Definitely recommend wearing tons of sunblock if you plan to visit it in summer as it can get very hot. Fortunately we had access to club 360 so we were able to get much needed respite there.

Kirti P — Google review

Going to watch the Twins play here is a lot of fun!Upsides: The whole place is clean, employees are super nice, they care a lot about recycling which is great and it's a very nice stadium in general! Just about every single seat is an amazing seat as well, there is not really a bad spot to watch the game. Parking is super easy to find. Downsides: Only downside is that merchandise/food is expensive but it is also expected to be a lot.

Anna — Google review

Field was really nice and had plenty of restaurants and lots of beer options even for the craft beer lover. The stadium was in excellent condition and had a great family feeling. My only complaint at all was the seats are narrow. I'm 180lbs and I'm not sure any adults can sit back with their shoulders square without touching both neighbors beside you. You have to pull your shoulders forward or almost sit sideways. It's really bizarre.

Neil N — Google review

Well I'm glad I got off early because playoff games are early, like 3:30!, however I got to go experience the Twins win their first playoff game in 19 years! Its a real fan friendly ballpark with little games for your kids, and a lot of concessions. Not a bad seat in the house! Plus I love it when their closer comes out! You gotta check it out!

Christopher P — Google review

I've been out to Target Field numerous times over the last few years for multiple Twins games, and I absolutely love it!! Heading out to the ballpark is one of my favorite things to do on a summer day/night, and the experience is always fantastic. Target Field is a gorgeous venue with fantastic skyline views and an awesome backdrop. The food is great and the atmosphere can't be beat. I would highly recommend a trip to Target Field to anyone, baseball fan, or not.. you will absolutely enjoy yourself!

Logan H — Google review

This is one of the most beautiful ball fields, in my opinion. Great seating everywhere throughout this park. Lots of different foods that are always changing. This park has restaurants, stores and even play areas for kids and adults. Lots to see and do if you take the time to really walk around. Go Twins!

Ben M — Google review

We sat in the Delta 360 skybox area and the memorabilia in the indoor area added a lot of history and was interesting to browse. The games offer a LOT of food options. I think anyone could find food from a vendor as some accommodate dietary restrictions. Parking was easy in the ramp next to the field and was pretty cheap! Fun atmosphere and worth a visit even if not a Twins fan.

Natalie K — Google review

We had a great time at the bowl game against the Yankees. The staff were very nice and helpful. The view from the Delta sky360 Club seats was great. It was nice to get back inside the lounge to eat food and use restrooms. It was especially nice on a cold night to get inside for some heat. The atmosphere was like a event and that was great entertainment for the kids.

Bas B — Google review

Target Field is a baseball stadium where there isn't a bad seat in the place. First base side is where you want to be during day games, but if you are lucky enough to get a beautiful Minnesota evening then you will not be disappointed. No vendors take cash so be prepared for that.

Ezra C — Google review

Beautiful ballpark, it has a lot of places to sit or stand and get drinks. Good amount of bars and great places to eat. I suggest getting the fried cheese curds and the burger sliders from Red cow. Very juicy and flavorful, in a nice bite size package.

Kevin D — Google review

I love watching Twins games at Target Field! The stadium is beautiful, well kept, and clean. There are tons of food options (although expensive as expected at this type of venue.) Parking is super easy in Ramp A or Ramp B. I also attended a concert at this venue recently. The sound was great. The seating arrangement was great. I would definitely attend concerts here in the future.

Lacy D — Google review

My favorite MLB stadium for baseball. A definite must-see if you’re traveling and you’re looking to create a fun summer memory. I might be biased but the Guest Services employees are always friendly and helpful! I have always been a MN Twins Fan and will always be one. Thanks for the memories!

Lisa C — Google review

Went to see the Twins play the Mariners and had a blast. This was my first MLB game, and it was a great stadium to experience a game. It seems like no matter where you are in the park, you have a great view of the field. It is a beautiful field, and if I lived closer, I would definitely buy season tickets.

Darren J — Google review

Awesome stadium. Finally made it here for a Twins game. Now I can appreciate why this stadium is called out as one of the best in MLB. Easy access, great concessions, amazing views of the Minneapolis skyline. Plenty of guest services team members to help with navigation of the grounds.

Ray D — Google review

It was our first Twins game ever and boy, what an experience! The stadium was amazing and so easy to navigate. We had great seats above the right field wall and concessions were close by. We were surrounded by families having a great time and everyone was relaxed. The stadium staff were so friendly and pleasant and helpful. The entire atmosphere was great. We will definately go back!

Ryan H — Google review

This place is electric! Magical even! I love bringing my friends and family here. What better place to get together and share an experience you will remember forever?!?! I am a die-hard Twins fan, but it's about way more than just the game! It's the whole experience. The atmosphere, the people, the food, the lights, all of it! Pure gold. As the great James Earl Jones said, "The memories will be so thick, you'll have to brush them away!" Bring your loved ones. You won't regret it. *Hot tip* Go on a Tuesday if you can. The hot dogs are all $1, and the pop is $2! Cheap food and drinks and a game! Awesome!!!

Roy S — Google review

The concourse actually feels a little like a Target. A little sterile, but that's not bad. Good views from all over. Even the worst seats aren't bad. The bleacher area is close to the action. Prices inside are average for an MLB ballpark. The views from within are mediocre, but the park itself is pretty. Hood screens with a good amount of info for statheads. A cool digital banner feature visible from the concourse is pretty unique. They did a really good job overall and the transit planning is second to none.

Ricardo R — Google review

A very fan-friendly experience awaits you at Target Field. I’ve sat in many different sections, and there are great sight lines everywhere. The concourses are wide, offer a great variety of food and beverage options, and are always open to the field, so you never feel too separated from the action. (Very little protection from the elements, so come dressed appropriately for the weather.) There are other diversions as well, including a miniature golf course for the kids. The food is all dreadfully expensive, of course. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the restroom situation which feels inadequate and are not fully handicap accessible. (I had to hold the door open for a gent in a wheelchair today.) it’s well staffed, and the employees are generally friendly and helpful. Overall, still a five star experience and a great place to see a baseball game.

mzee75 — Google review

This is exactly what you expect a ballpark to me. Lots of food and beverage stands, great seating, a beautiful field and plenty of pregame entertainment. One of the friendliest crowds and the scoreboard screens were spectacular. Easy public transit in and out. It’s hard to think of much we didn’t like. A really good ballpark with reasonably priced seating and very helpful personnel. We give it 4.5 clams on the coveted Five quahog rating scale.

Quahog — Google review

Beautiful ballpark! Went two days in a row with six people (four kids). Both days were fun. Kids played bags behind right field where we came in. We sat row 1 in left field on day one. $1 hot dogs on Tuesdays!!!! Day two, I had front row seats in section 307. I didn't know the 300 section was closed in April. We got vouchers to sit in section 101 and paid for upper deck seats. Super awesome!! Great venue and experience!! Go Dodgers!!

Sean R — Google review

Target Field was a beautiful stadium!! Great views from pretty much anywhere in the ballpark!! The stadium made it interactive for the fans and it was fun!! That was my first time attending a game at Target Field!! But yea Go Cards 😜

Chris B — Google review

Twins Opening game. Big and beautiful. No smoking inside and no re-entry if you leave. Lots of seating. Food/ Drinks and souvenirs are over priced but that's what you should expect. Parking is not ideal, many parking ramps out there and decent walk to the field.I recommend if your not the type of person that needs to get up a lot, to buy seat ticket on the end of the seats where there isn't an entrance so you don't have to get up all the time for people going in and out. There is decent variety of food and drinks. I recommend getting the free refillable pop drinks if you feel you will get many drinks it's worth it since drinks are pricey.

Leah H — Google review

We had a great time. The family concessions stands have cheaper priced foods: $3.99 hot dogs, $1.99 sodas (plus tax), etc.Friendly staff all over the place, including the parking ramp. The light shows for the Twins relievers are a nice touch. The mascot race was fun, the music was banging, and the TWINS won! I definitely recommend it, even if you're not familiar with baseball.

Mitch A — Google review

Had a great time at the game. Was able to find a few gluten free options. We did run into a little difficulty when asking about the accessible seating. One person completely disregarded us. We were able to find another person to help us out!

The food was so good!!! I got the Chicken Chanhassen and it may be the best thing I've ever tasted. During intermission they serve you desert and I got the turtle cheese cake and I've never tasted a better cheese cake in my life! The service was phenomenal and all of the waiters were very respectful and patient. Overall this was one of my most favorite places I've been to.

Went to see the Three Tenors on a Monday matinee. The food and service were excellent as always. And the show was beyond divine!!!I was literally blown away with their voices! I will definitely make this an annual event for sure!!!

Oh my gosh this was my first ever dinner theater experience and it was WONDERFUL!!! I came with the Stanley County group to see the Carol King showing. The food was delicious and our sever, Jamal, was super cool and great to talk with! If anyone looks at these, oh my god give him a raise. He was just a peach! Anyway, the food was served so quickly and was super great quality and the atmosphere….oh my gosh…the outside looks so different from the inside! It’s so spacious and the lighting was beautiful! And the performance was amazing, it almost made me cry! I’m definitely going to come back another time with family. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience!!!

Expedition was amazingly talented. They had very good stage chemistry and seemed to really enjoy performing together. The food was okay and I was happy to see they had vegan options. I recommend the vegan meatloaf, there pasta primavera was greasy and not great. It's hard to navigate a wheelchair in the building and seemed very unsafe to have someone handicapped in the basem*nt.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this place! We come every year for my birthday and it's never a disappointment. When we came to see The Little Mermaid we saw the understudy Laura Rudolph and she was so amazing we couldn't even imagine what the original Ariel (who took a break from the show to appear on Broadway) would have sounded like! Then we saw her as Sandy in Grease and I fell in love again!Footloose is playing right now and it was so fun to see! They do a good job of using original songs or at least the music and changing up the words a bit while also adding new songs to make this stand out as special! Also, dinner/lunch is included for $18 extra. This might sound pricey, but you get bread, salad (dinner only), tea or milk, and an entree. Also, the food is delicious! On a side note, I called ahead to see if they had a place for me to pump my milk as I'm currently breastfeeding and they let me use a conference room right next to the theatre/entrance whenever I needed it!No hesitation, no problems, come to CDT!

Ashley C — Google review

Brought my 40 year old husband for the first time to see Footloose and he LOVED it!! Splurged with dinner by ordering drinks, upgrading the meal, & by getting an appetizer and dessert and it was absolutely worth it! The included meals are yummy, but the upgraded meals are exquisite!! Can't wait to be back!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres in July 2023, and we had the absolute best experience! Not only is this venue gorgeous and really fun, but the entire process with their team, from early planning through post-wedding, was seamless and well managed. Jackie, Marta, Madysen, and the entire staff at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres were phenomenal to work with and really went the extra mile the make sure our wedding was a success. The wedding day ran smoothly, communication was great, the ceremony and reception spaces were spectacular, food was delicious, and service was excellent. We received several compliments from our guests about the venue and staff. Our wedding was magical, and we’re so appreciative of the work this venue did to make that happen. When we were selecting our venue, we loved everything about Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ wedding reception package. It is so comprehensive, fairly priced, and made the planning process quite a bit easier for us. Jackie, the Wedding & Events Manager, is amazing and is one of the many reasons we selected Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. She was so helpful throughout this entire process. We were also incredibly pleased with the team and vendors that came with the package, such as Corey our DJ, Tim from Minnesota Wedding Party, Buttercream Bakery, and the banquet staff. The ability to play music videos during the dancing portion of the evening was awesome. We added on the Mirror Photo Booth through Minnesota Wedding Party, and it was a huge hit! The photo booth was staffed by Mel, who was so fun and great with our guests. It was a really cool addition that we would highly recommend to others.

We got a last minute table of 4. Watched Jersey boys...TERRIFIC! Remember...dinner is BEFORE showtime. Back table had a limited view but the actors really move around. Brilliant singing/acting.

The beauty in this building is beyond words and its rustic feel. The staff were so friendly and helpful instantly walking through the door. The food was great and brought out super fast. Wow. Really impressed. We were here for Jersey Boys and it was all so perfect.

Went to see the Music Man for a birthday 🎂The show was excellent and dinner was great. The Chocolate cake for dessert was very good.We had leftovers, it was such a large piece.Service was very efficient. That staff works very hard to provide great service. Show includes dinner, if you choose. We had an offer that included dinner in the show price. co*cktails and dessert are extra.

Fun fun fun! Went here on a school trip and had a blast! We watched the prom and the cast was incredible! The food was also good. Everyone at my table loved it! I was a little disappointed with my meal as it was lacking flavor. All in all good experience, kind staff, and yummy food!

What an incredible experience! Worth every bit of everything. I saw Jersey Boys, but I can't wait to come back to see more shows, along with the comedy club and the fireside room for music!

What an amazing place! We saw Jersey Boys & it was fantastic! Matinee lunch was delicious. We were a group of 6 friends who are retired & one couple moved away from the other two. We met to be together & have a good time & boy did we. We stayed at Country Inn & Suites & had supper the night before at Brindisi & stayed the night & saw show the next day. Perfect get away! We are hoping to make this an annual thing!

What a great experience! The Jersy Boys was fantastic! The food was yummmmm. I didn't want the night to end.If you haven't been here for an event, you must put it on your bucket list!

We came to see a tribute to Abba, great show. This performance took place at the Fireside Theater a more intimate smaller space, great acoustics. Finding a parking space on the lot can be challenging , but we always find space in the ramp. The shows are offered with dinner o just the show. We choose to get dinner elsewhere, the food at the theater can be quite good but a bit expensive. Either way a good experience. 👍 Marcelo J.

Chanhassen always had great performances and consistently good food and service. It makes for a very fun night out without the inconvenience of going downtown for a show. There is a limited but quality menu, so I think everyone could find something they like. Ticket prices include most meals, but drinks, apps, and desserts are extra. You eat before the show and they serve dessert during the intermission. I always get the ice cream drinks for dessert - usually the Pink Squirrel - I highly recommend!

Went to see Takin' To The Limit - A Tribute to the Eagles performed by two bands, Collective Unconscious and The Fabulous Armadillos. It was a great show in a great venue.

We LOVED it!! The theater is simply dreamy! One of the neatest places we’ve been to. Stevie Rays improv show was hilarious! We cannot wait to come back!!!

Prince's private estate & production complex featuring artifacts from his life & guided tours.

Great Tour and highly recommended.Helpful Hints:1. You must buy your tickets prior to your arrival.2. A security guard will meet you to enter the premises. Have your tickets ready to show to get access.3. Security will meet you at the door. Be prepared to turn off your phone and place it in a locked sleeve. You will carry the sleeve throughout the tour and it will be unlocked to give you access for pictures in the large event room.4. Be patient, polite and respectful. This is a guided tour - not a free for all. Listen to the recordings of Prince and stories from your tour guide. If you have a question and your guide doesn't know, they will often reach out to a staff member to get an answer for you.5. Lose your self in the experience instead of judging the tour. Try to remember all the amazing music Prince brought into your life and imagine it being recorded in this building. Imagine the grand parties hosted on the Property and the many talented guests who've walked the halls.6. When you leave, drive away listening to your favorite Prince song.

I normally get bored on tours, but this was amazing. We got the VIP experience, but I would recommend getting the Ultimate experience, which we wanted to get but was sold out for the month. Some of the things you get to see are his shoes, which were amazing to see, where he held concerts for fans, the club, where he recorded, and other things. It's definitely worth the money. Oh you are.not allowed to take pictures until you are near the end of the tour.

Demetrius C — Google review

We did the 90 minute tour and it was amazing. Sad that Prince is no longer with us, but we learned so much about his musical genius which is integral part of American music history. Would definitely recommend visiting to anyone who's think about it.

Had a wonderful experience here today. I went on the 3 hour ultimate tour ($175 per person) and it was such a great experience! Our tour guide was named Josh, and he was super informative and enthusiastic! He made our tour outstanding, and was available to answer any questions any of us had. There were 16 people in my group and the tour went a bit over 3 hours. The highlight of the ultimate tour was getting to listen to some of Prince’s unreleased tapes/raw cuts/isolated vocals. Another highlight was getting to be in his performance room. It was HUGE. They had a huge screen in front and super cool lights. There was also a perfect photo opp in one of his recording studios with one of his guitars and his purple piano in the background. I felt like I was AT A PRINCE CONCERT AGAIN!!! Such a great experience and I highly recommend this tour or a visit to Paisley Park in general to anyone in the area. RIP prince 💜💜💜

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and interspersed his spiel with humor. Security was tight so don't expect to take pictures until they unlock your phones towards the end of the tour. Small gift shop in the complex to come home with some memorabilia. Definitely worth the visit even if you're not a Prince fan.

This was a bucket list trip for me, and it was everything I had hoped for (aside from Prince actually being there). We did the Ultimate Experience, and I recommend going straight for that one. Photo taking was very minimal, but we would have missed out on so much if we had been able to take photos. We got to hear unreleased tracks, see all 3 studios, and so much more! I cannot say enough about it! 10/10!

Spoiler-free review. If you are a fan of Prince 💜, then you should go. You will have a solid range of emotions, and a great time!Had the Paisley Experience last year with my bestie. Tours are timed and start on time (excellent for my fellow planners). Get your tickets in advance - they sell out quickly. Do note that the duration of the PE tour (approx 90 min.) is mostly standing or walking. Sitting area are available at the very start, and after the end. Please respect the house and all before you touch or sit on anything! The tour guides are very well versed on His Royal Badness, with ample jokes and anecdotes. The details, decor, and vibrance are unreal. They had the Beautiful Collection out when we attended - 200+ pairs of his custom shoes. All in all, it was an ethereal experience. I'm planning to do the Ultimate Experience next time around.

I had no idea what to expect from this tour, and it was amazing! I wanted the VIP tour but it didn't fit into our schedule. However, the normal tour did not disappoint. We took our 24 year old son, who loves Prince and music in general, and his girlfriend, who never heard about Prince until he died. We all thoroughly enjoyed our tour and our tour guide.

My 1st time coming, I didn't realize that it had to be booked in advance. After explaining how long it took me to get there, they allowed me to enter the shop and small area where prince had small parties. I wanted to book a tour but it was fully booked for several months. The staff gave me information on visitor sites nearby. After my little site seeing, a worker ran out and told me about an opening. It was in 2 weeks. I came back 2 weeks after, but I had misplaced my tickets. Luckily, because I had a very memorable reaction to my 1st visit, I was allowed in. We were greeted and entered into the waiting area. We had a lady tour guide, who was very informative about prince and his life. We entered his lobby and saw his 2 doves. We entered a room with his guitars and a little history about them. We were shown his office, kitchen and small sound room ( I fell because of the step on the end). We were shown his different sound rooms and all his shoes. We then entered the huge stage area where we saw vehicles and motorcycles, clothing and had an opportunity to hold his guitar. A truly unforgettable experience.

Our guide, Dominic, was amazing. They were organized. We did the shorter tour and Dominic kept the group on schedule while also giving us plenty of time to look around and ask questions. They were knowledgeable and enthusiastic for all things Prince. Their joy was contagious. Highly recommend.

Since 2016 I have visited Paisley Park 7 times. I have watched Prince's wishes for it to become a Museum come to fruition. This facility is remarkably beautiful and remarkably kept. The corridors still smell have a faint scent of the Lavender that Prince loved. The staff feel like family. Their stories tell like the stories that we all have of our own family gatherings. The exhibits have been brought to a level of perfection that is deserving of the legacy of Prince. There is always new merchandise for purchase (which provides us repeat customers great selection each time). Now you can visit via Tour or to shop in the boutique or grab a set to dine a snack in the NPG Club, with photo ops at every turn.If you Like/Love Prince make your Visit a priority. You will never regret it 💜!

We took the 90-minute Paisley Experience Tour. Our tour guide, Margo, delivered an enthusiastic presentation throughout. I especially enjoyed seeing Prince's office which was exactly as he left it (very touching) and the recording studios. We could have spent less time in the shoe room IMO. And the end of the tour was the absolute best as we got to watch live footage of Prince in the sound stage area and take pictures of his cars, motorcycles and clothes and listen to him. That was a great remembrance. I highly recommend this tour.

Highly recommend. Margo was our tour guide, and she was so passionate about her job. I cried because it was such a beautiful place. Very informative and quite interesting. I didn't know they offered live concerts/shows but hope to return for one for sure. Amazing experience overall.

So worth the trip and the money for the ultimate experience! I learned more about Prince than I thought I ever would since I call myself a fan! I felt such love, peace, and creativity flowing in that sacred place. The staff did an awesome some job of honoring his life and legacy. My highlights were being in his office and studio B. It was like I could see and feel him there! It was a special treat to see and hear the unreleased music. I can't wait to hear more from the vault! I highly recommend adding this to your bucket list!

Thank you, Paisley Park, for your professionalism. Our tour guide and the 3 hour tour was amazing. I highly recommend booking the ultimate experience. It's a bit pricey but well worth it.

I have been Prince fan since 1984. I was so excited about this tour and it did NOT disappoint. You got to hear and see so many interesting things that made Prince who he was. I loved his office. Reece was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We did the Ultimate Tour and loved every minute. When they unlocked your phones at the end it was so much fun. His shoe collection was beautiful too. Highly recommend. We went 9/4/2023

Awesome VIP tour. Our tour guide Domino was very knowledgeable and seemed genuinely passionate about what he was doing. Paisley Park is beautiful and it makes you feel special to be in the presence of such an amazing artist and all those who visited the location and worked with him. Highly recommend this tour for any type of fan.

Love Prince! I did the regular tour and was very happy! The concert at the end was super cool. I booked the day before, so feel lucky to have gotten tickets after reading other reviews. It was right before Christmas so maybe the timing was good. Thanks for the music Prince! You are missed!

Julie D — Google review

Amazing. A must for any Prince fan. Any music fan, really. Remember in the 90s we all thought the artist formerly known was weird? Naw, man, he was CLEVER. And brilliant. Take the tour. It's incredible.

Rebekah P — Google review

We took the ultimate tour, it was so in depth and so cool. We got a guided tour got to go into 3 of 4 recording studios. The tour is really great. You get to spend time in each room and then you get to go to the sound stage and a performance room where he used to have concerts. We got to hold a guitar that Prince used which is one of the coolest things ever

I’m not even a huge Prince fanatic but loved the tour we did of the studio. The history was captivating and they obviously invested heavily in telling his story with the personal touches whenever possible. It’s legendary. The tour guide we had was incredible and clearly a huge Prince fan with a lot of his own personal history at Paisley Park - this made the tour come alive. Loved it. We did this as a gift for my partner’s parents!

You must make reservations WELL IN ADVANCE.Go online for directions and schedules.Do not even think about showing up without tickets/reservations made. There are different package tiers. They range from one hour, two hour and three hour. I’m sure all levels are amazing. There is a security check. These folks aren’t playing. It’s Prince, y’all.Their security game is tight. It’s all incredible. Our small group of less than 20 had all the emotions and feels. Our guide was well learned in all things Prince and you could tell he loved doing this.Straight up respect for every single staff member there. So much love.RIP, Prince.
