Dialogue[]
Pre-Mission[]
- (Talk to the Guardian Shadow)
- Guardian Shadow: ...
- Guardian Shadow: ...
- (Trailblazer): (This thing seems a little different from the other Fragmentum creatures...)
- (Trailblazer): (She doesn't seem to have any desire whatsoever to attack. Perhaps I can avoid a tough fight?)
- Guardian Shadow: ...Who are you?
...Are you talking to me?
- Guardian Shadow: You... are you real?
Do I still have to fight?
- Guardian Shadow: I don't... want to hurt... anyone...
I'm a goner...
- Guardian Shadow: I... don't mean... trouble...
- Guardian Shadow: I haven't seen a... stranger in a long, long time.
- Guardian Shadow: Mr. Stefan is gone... they've all gone. Everyone.
- Guardian Shadow: The people I trusted... the people I was close to... they've all left me. This city... has abandoned me.
- (Trailblazer): (Stefan? I remember that name.)
- (Trailblazer): (Could she be...)
Is that you, Cyrille?
- Cyrille: ...
- Cyrille: Do you know me... stranger?
- Cyrille: You... Did Mr. Stefan send you to meet me?
(lying) Yes! He told me to come and save you.
- Cyrille: N-no. You don't have... his scent.
Sorry, I don't know him.
- Cyrille: Oh... that's okay. I can feel it too... You really don't have his scent on you at all.
- Cyrille: ...Nobody is coming here for me anymore. I'm not smart enough, not strong enough, not independent enough... but I know all that. I've been lying to myself all this time and living that way for so long... I'm so tired of it.
- Cyrille: You... stranger, I don't understand... How do you know my name?
- Cyrille: ...Never mind. I don't want to get into it any further... too much questioning will only lead to more pain. It's always been the case...
- Cyrille: You're my only witness... the final witness. That fact alone is comforting enough... knowing that I don't have to wander around in eternal loneliness...
What can I do for you?
- Cyrille: ...
What are you thinking about right now?
- Cyrille: I... have a favor to ask.
- Cyrille: I want to know... why my fate is like this. I guess the answer is sealed in here, but there's nothing I can do about it...
- Cyrille: Will you help me, stranger? If you can help me find the answer... I'll tell you everything there is about me. No secrets.
- Cyrille: My story... may not be that interesting, but perhaps you'd like to hear it, right? I hope you do...
I'll help you... I want to hear your story.
- Cyrille: Thank you. I was afraid... that you'd say no.
If I say no...
- Cyrille: ...I was afraid you'd say that, but... I can't force you. I would never force anyone to do anything.
- Cyrille: Maybe I just have to keep waiting around. Wait for the next witness, who'll probably never come...
Sorry... I'll help you out.
I'll help you, even if it's just out of sympathy.
- Cyrille: Really? Thank you...
- Cyrille: I got no place to go. I'll be waiting for you here.
- Cyrille: If you want to give up, that's okay... I'm just a shadow, and I'm not able to begrudge anyone, even if they trick me... And I don't feel sad either.

Talk to Cyrille[]
Step Description
In the farthest northern reaches of Belobog, you reunite with Cyrille... Or at least, her phantom.
With the final puzzle solved, you've run out of possible ways to help her.
Talk with Cyrille, and be her final audience.Everwinter Hill
- (Talk to the Guardian Shadow)
- Cyrille: I... see the truth now.
- Cyrille: Thank you, stranger...
- Cyrille: You've shown me the truth, stranger. I don't know how to repay this kindness... as you can see, I can't exactly do anything right now.
- Cyrille: But at least I can fulfill my previous promise to you, and tell you my story. Would you like to stop and listen?
Yes.
- Cyrille: ...You are so gentle, stranger. As gentle as Mr. Stefan.
You don't have to.
- Cyrille: No... This is my final wish. Mr. Stefan will agree.
- Cyrille: — I'm Cyrille, Supreme Guardian of Belobog.
- Cyrille: I know I don't deserve to be in such a high position. If it weren't for my sister going off then for no reason at all... I'd never have been able to take this path.
- Cyrille: Luckily, I have Mr. Stefan by my side — he is my teacher and dear friend. He's given me countless pieces of valuable advice... and helped me through crisis after crisis.
Why do you linger around here?
- Cyrille: I'm confused... confused about the cause of my death.
What's your connection to the box puzzles?
- Cyrille: They... are the end of my life. The reason I'm lingering around here... may be connected with my confusion about the cause of my death.
- Cyrille: But you helped remove any element of confusion — and I can finally face my destiny.
- Cyrille: I was born a fool... and died from my foolishness. I failed everyone who ever put their faith in me... I failed to uphold the duty and prestige of a Supreme Guardian.
- Cyrille: I slipped and fell into that open box, ending my life in a way that's destined for ridicule.
- Cyrille: Perhaps at the end of my life, I was caught up in a vortex of shame... but I've wandered in this purgatory far too long to feel any sadness or shame. All I want now is peace.
- Cyrille: Stranger, I can feel your power. Compared to my cowardice... you exude such a strong, calm aura.
- Cyrille: I beg you for one last piece of generosity... I hope you can bless me with everlasting peace.
...I understand what you mean.
- Cyrille: Thank you... thank you for leaving me with this one shred of dignity.
- (Commence battle)
I... I can't do it.
- Cyrille: ...Are you going to leave me behind? Just leave me here in this endless void?
- Cyrille: Well... maybe someone like me doesn't deserve to be saved. Farewell, stranger.
- (Dialogue ends)
- (Talk to the Guardian Shadow again, if "I can't do it" was chosen)
- Cyrille: ...Have you changed your mind, stranger?
I will give you the peace you deserve.
- Cyrille: Thank you... thank you for leaving me with this one shred of dignity.
- (Commence battle)
I still can't bring myself to do it...
- Cyrille: ...Are you going to leave me behind? Just leave me here in this endless void?
- Cyrille: Well... maybe someone like me doesn't deserve to be saved. Farewell, stranger.
- (Dialogue ends)
- (After winning the battle)
- Cyrille's Echo: Thank you, stranger...
- Cyrille's Echo: I'm sorry. Mr. Stefan... I'm not... who you're looking for...
- Cyrille's echoes dissipate amidst the howling of the icy wind.
- A golden ornament remains on the ground, quietly waiting for you to pick it up.
Pick up Cyrille's relic.
...Should I even touch this?
- (Trailblazer): (It shouldn't be a big deal. It's only reasonable to take home some rewards for finishing all these missions.)
- (Trailblazer): (So Cyrille was actually a Supreme Guardian... how unbelievable.)
- (Trailblazer): (How can these echoes of hers be so powerful that they took on human form in the Fragmentum? And why was it accompanied by all those weird box puzzles...?)
- (Trailblazer): (I should take her relic back to the Overworld. There must be someone who knows about Cyrille's past as a Supreme Guardian.)
Go to the Overworld and find someone well-versed in history[]
Step Description
You helped Cyrille to find eternal peace.
But you hunger for answers deep inside — how did she turn into a tortured phantom? Why was she bound by these mysterious armory boxes?
You have to find someone familiar with Belobog's history to get to the bottom of this.Administrative District
- (Talk to Manya)
Do you know the Supreme Guardian Cyrille?
- Manya: ...Mmm, do you mean Cyrille "the Fool"?
- Manya: Of course. I mean, anyone who's studied a little history has heard of her, right?
- Manya: What made you suddenly interested in this piece of ancient history? I don't have the time for random trivia right now... There's a huge stack of documents on my desk waiting for my approval.
I found something...
- Manya: Huh? What...
I brought something back from Cyrille.
- Manya: ...Is this some kind of sick joke?
- Manya: Ah, okay... I guess, taking a look won't rob me of much time. What is it? Let me have a check, would you?
- Manya: It's... this...
- Manya: I'm flabbergasted! You might've just found an incredible antique item...
- Manya: Based on the Belobog Conventions for the Preservation of Ancient Relics, any antiques found by civilians must be turned over to the Architects for proper reservation. I will have to hold on to this ornament that you've found.
What? This is robbery in plain sight!
Then what's in it for me, huh?
- Manya: Relax, I won't leave you empty-handed. I'm highly confident that this thing is an authentic relic... I'm sure you'll be compensated handsomely.
- Manya: Mmm, that's right — do you know much about Belobog's history? You can find out more about Cyrille "the Fool" in this pamphlet. Take it as a souvenir from the Administrative Department.
