Ronald Keith Armstrong peacefully left us with his wife Lois of 58 years his side. Doc lived a full and rich life surrounded by his devoted family. Ron graduated from McGill University Dental school in 1956. Ron and Lois, being the adventuresome couple that they were, decided to move to Fort Smith, North West Territories to begin his career in dentistry. Ottawa was their primary residence for more than 30 years, and "the farm" in Bishops Mills was their 'country escape for over 40 years.

His wit, love and charm will be greatly missed by his family: Leanne, Tannis, Keltie, Sandy, Diane, Ron and Gibby. His grandchildren: Christopher, Patrick, Lindsey (Leanne), Scott, Curtis, Mitch (Tannis). Katy, Michael, Ali (Keltie), Rob, Billy, Elora (Sandy), Steph, Natalie, Grace (Diane), Reagan and Darin (Ron) will miss their Gramps, Pops Bompa. Their Gramps had a very special way of grandparenting his most beloved grandchildren, and will leave an everlasting impression. The family gathered for a private funeral service on Saturday, December 1, 2012.

Our family would like all friends and extended family to join us in the celebration of Ron's life on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 1pm at St. James Anglican Church, 35 Clothier Street Kemptville. Although she had a very successful career in real estate, her legacy is one of a remarkable homemaker and manager. Fanni was a consummate hostess, always gracious and welcoming, capable of whipping up a meal for several guests on less than an hour's notice and able to converse fluently in any one of several languages including German, French, English, Polish and Spanish. Fanni loved her cottage in Kazuby, Ontario where the family spent many a happy summer and her condo in Naples, Florida where she escaped Canadian winters. In later years Fanni moved to Vancouver, sadly leaving behind many friends in Ottawa, but able to enjoy more of her family and Whistler. The family would like to thank Valeriana Peglar for her unwavering devotion and care.
