BCO picks up strong pitching in victory over Imler’s (2024)

In a game called because of rain after six innings, Blair County Oil defeated Imlers Poultry, 4-0, in a Greater City League/AAABA game at Prospect Park Monday night.

Winning pitcher Seth Smith struck out five, walked one and gave up two hits.

Tyler Sweeney and Sean Steffy each drove in two runs for BCO (4-6). Steffy had two hits to go with two more from Brayden Harbaugh.

EJ Ulery and Don Miller each had a hit for Imlers (0-2)

Troy McNichol and Josh Beltz each had three hits, and Cortlyn Hetrick drove in a pair of runs.

Brandon McClure had Tyrone’s lone RBI.

McDonald’s celebrates

Brandt Hite struck out 11 to lead McDonald’s to a 2-1 win over the Bellwood Eagles in an 13U Federation 54/80 game at Greenwood.

He gave up two hits with a walk and no runs as McDonald’s improved to 3-2. Vinnie Hite got the win in relief. He struck out two, walked one and gave up one run.

Caleb Plummer had an RBI single for McDonald’s.

PAB edges CM

Cayden Gibbons had three hits to lead Professionals Auto Body to a 9-7 win over Cumming Motors in a 19U game at Seitz Field Sunday.

Joseph Speece added two hits and three RBIs, and Eli Shade had two hits for Cumming Motors.
